Pse Muffler Part Numbers

Recommended Posts

I just received my PSE from Brandywine Porsche today via Fedex. I was hoping for some help to verify that the part #'s I received are correct and the most current. An old post of Loren's from 5/14/03 lists the muffler #'s for the "new" PSE as:

996 111 984 03 left

996 111 985 03 right

Loren's post also lists the kit part # as 000 044 200 19 which is what my box says. However, them mufflers themselves show engraved part #'s:

996 111 984 01

996 111 985 01

Manufacture date looks like 7/29/03 if that helps. The manufacturer is Eisenmann if anyone is curious who makes these mufflers for Porsche. Maybe the part #'s were changed again since the 5/03 Loren post? It does look like mine have the larger bypass pipes that are inherent to the "new" PSE mufflers.

This is for a '02 C2 Coupe, 6 sp and I am installing with no electronics.

Thanks in advance for some validation! Can't wait to hear for myself if this mod is really all that!

Scott,

I had it installed at a good independent shop near my house, Dennis Sherman Foreign Car which services BMW, late VW, Audi and Porsche. Great guys--honest, quick, reasonable and right near my house in La Mesa. $124 installed w/no electronics.

If you were asking how much the PSE itself was, I paid $1500+$30 for shipping, no tax from Brandywine Porsche.

You will love it, I really enjoyed it this weekend--way nastier sound.

I got mine from Brandywine too, had it dealer installed for $250, which is probably a little high since it probably took them no more than an hour or so, but I think the book says it takes a couple hours (did not install electronics).
