Recommended Posts

:help: :help: All I can think of is that I washed the car and let it sit for Four or five days,(not a daily driver) When I drove it today It did not sound right. I seem to hear a mechanical noise coming from the left bank ayt the front. :help: Note I do have A K&N cold air intake and B&B exhaust

I hope your MY99 Carrera is a 6 speed (because they didn't make a 5 speed) ;)

If you washed the car and did not drive it then you likely have rust/corrosion on the brake disks. It is always best to drive the car after washing to dry the disks so they don't rust.

Take the car out to a safe area and apply the brakes medium hard for two or three stops and see if the noise goes away.

Everytime I wash my car with the K&N Filter in the back I cover up the inside of the engine bay with towels to avoid soaking the filter being its so exposed to the elements.

I have heard with Automatics that if u apply the brakes med-hard and give it gas it will scrap all that rust away in one turn. Dont suggest doing it much cause its hard on the tranny but if u can work it out. Go for it, more difficult with 6 Speeds
