new window regulator installed-have a ?

Recommended Posts

hi there!!! i just installed a new window regulator on a 99c2cab. it was noisy and i replaced it according to the helpful posts found here. everything went back as it should except for the window not rolling down the last inch into the door pocket. it closes correctly and is alligned when the door is closed.

What did i forget?

thanks

I noticed the same thing when I installed mine, and I have to believe that the track is manufactured to work on multiple Porsche models. Based on what I remember, if you compare the part that you removed to the one that you installed, you will see that the new part has a rubber and metal stop that is mounted to the track an inch or so from the bottom. I removed mine, and it operates fine now. Suggest you validate this recommendation with some of the more knowledgeable folks on this site to make sure I'm not steering you wrong.

thanks for the tip, i remember reading that there is a small bag f stoppers included. Looks like these were both pre-installed and just remove the proper one.

Thats a great link for the install-thanks

Heres my 2 cent contribution. Use a 5 gallon bucket to hold up the door panel while woking(keeps it clean)
