Cylinder 3 missfiring .

Recommended Posts

Check the spark plug, coil pack and wiring on that cylinder.

Swap parts to a know good cylinder and see which part follows the change.

Thanks Loren,

I changed my spark plugs a few weeks ago, so they are good. But maybe I damaged the coils at

the same time.

I also changed my water pump and the reservoir the other day, so I thought maybe some coolant got into the coils since

the cylinders that are missfiring are under the coolant reservoir.

How do I unconnect the coils to swap them out?

Kristian

PS.now I have codes P0300 P0302 P0303

  • 2 weeks later...

I replaced the coil packs. The car works great now, much smoother than before.

i also cleaned the maf with electrical cleaner, clean the carburator and I put some

techron fuel injection cleaner in the tank.

Thanks again guys.

Kristian

I just ordered six coil packs from Sunset Imports at $42 each. It was the best deal out there.

I will let you knot the outcome when I install them.

Thanks

Kristian
