Anybody catch last night's (here in Socal at least) Top Gear rerun? The gang arranged a little contest between an Aston DB-7, BMW M6, and a Carrera S Coupe. Even though the C2S gave up 145 bhp (!) to the M6, it still beat the Bim handily on the Isle of Man road course timed run. The Aston alas, was a distant third. The Porsche also came out on top as the best all-around sports coupe. As if that's any surprise to us tail-happy nut-cases.

Last night's show was supposed to be the new season here for Top Gear on BBC America. No surprise that Clarkson didn't pick the Carrera while his two sidekicks used their brains

This particular re-run is Top Gear's 7th season. They just finished season 13 on the UK BBC a few weeks ago.

You're watching really old stuff, but they're a hoot!

More recent episodes can be found for downloading at finalgear.com. Go check it out!

The Isle of Man is where they run the TT races. This

is the place to take your motorcycle.

And your car - outside the towns there are no speed limits!

Oh if only California's Route 1 up the coast had no speed limits! ('Course the way I drive, I'd soon wind up down on the rocks at the mouth of Bixby Creek!)
