Failed tranny mount

Recommended Posts

I bet that you have a coolant leak. Check your coolant level!!

I thought so too at first. I even spilled some new coolant on the concrete to see if it looked the same, it didn't.

The leak is behind the axle, no coolant back there......

New coolant is going to look different than coolant that has been ran. I would look under the carpet in your rear trunk and check for coolant leaking from your coolant tank. Coolant from a leaking coolant tank can pool up in the under the carpet and escape from rubber plugs in the trunk compartment and end up in that same area.

Checked the trunk, dry as a bone.

It's a 964 mount that was used to lower the motor so that the 911 intake manifold would clear the engine cover. It probably holds more fluid. The fluid is definitely not antifreeze since it is oily and does not smell like antifreeze.
