Does anybody have the Rear Cooler box? this one : Porsche What temp does it go down to and does it take up a lot of battery juice? It doesn't seem worth it to me but I kinda want it to keep things cold when Im on trips and at work. I don't want to risk buying it if it doesn't do a decent job at cooling.

I have the cooler box, I bought it about 2 weeks ago. It is large on the outside, but quite small inside. I picked it up to keep parishable groceries cold while my wife shops. If items are not already cold, it takes 6 hours or more to cool them. It does not seem to use much battery juice, it has a feature where it will shut down before it draws the battery too low. What makes it attractive is that it is made in germany, not china, and it latches down to the chrome floor hooks so it does not slide around and looks fitted. Three days ago the zipper stuck and the pull tab broke off. It is a warrantied Porsche part so Sunset is exchanging it for me no hassle.
