Another question about wheels maintenance

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I am looking for a simple solution to remove tar and the rusty dust from the wheels . Apart from water and soap and some good amount of effort, I was wondering if any of you has ever used WD-40 to clean the interior of the wheel?

Do you think that WD-40 would have an armful effect on the paint finish of the wheel? I don't know the precise composition of WD-40 but I know that it contains some petroleum derivatives and no silicone.

Thanks for your comments.

Thank you for your helpful comments. You are right when you advise me to wax the wheel after its cleaning. Unfortunately, we don't find a wide variety of cleaning products where I live [no Rejex on shelves]. But I have managed to get a wax called "One grand blitz" [common product in the US] and it might be a good idea to use it on the rims.

Thanks again.
