Mk 2?? wheels on a Mk 1

Some wheels are being offered for sale at a good price complete with S02 225/40's and 295/30's..... They are described as genuine Porsche as fitted to the GT3 Mk 2. - fronts 18x8 50mm offset, rears 11x18 45mm offset. I am unsure if the rears will fit as my standard 102 wheels have an offset of 65mm so my calcs make the 11" wheels sit 45mm wider in the bodyshell. Has anyone tried to fit such a width and would it adversely affect understeer etc.

regards

Tim

Tim, my current understanding is that they will not fit as you would have to widen the wheel arch to get them in there - but if you find out differently, please let us know.

You are dead right GregM, I have done a bit more research - they are an option on the (wider body) turbo called the 'GT3 Look' and the different offsets means they will definitely foul the arches.
