Yes, but you will need to buy either used clear or new clear headlights.

Anybody selling clear lights at a good price?

Check around. A good price will be about $600. PM me if you want more details.

I have a clear set in good shape I pulled off my boxster. They have aftermarket superwhite HID bulbs and ballast installed (all legal). I think I still have the halogen bulbs but will need to check. I have them all bubble wrapped and ready to ship. I was going to list them on EBay for $750. Let me know if ur interested.

When I had a Boxster, I had the amber tinted with dark tint and it looked good. I think the tinting cost about $75.00. If you don't like it, you can always remove it.

Keep an eye on ebay! I just bought a set for $300.00, which didn't have the little triangle piece, (which I bought at Pelican Parts for $50.00 for both). I actually missed out on an auction when they were even lower than that. A quick polish and they looked like new! Then sell your old ones, and you won't be out of pocket too much. Just make sure that the tabs and mounting points are not broken.

I bought mine at Partsgeek.com. It was Bosch and just like the original. It was around $475 each. I have also seen them on ebay. I then sold the amber lights, obviously for a much lower price, because no one really wants them.

Here are other less expensive ways to get the amber out.

I've got a set of litronics (hid) for sale on the classifieds...

I looked in the classifieds and could not find them for sale. I'm in the same boat with really early '99 head lights. I want a fix for them or new headlights.

It's in the items for sale wanted section on the forum. Just looked there and it's there. For sale boxster/carrera litronics headlights.

  • 4 months later...

Will the HID Xenon headlights from a 2000 996 plug right in with no problem to my vehicle (top of thread). 1999 996 with Amber halogen's.

Also, if the corner trim has a hole in it, is it for a car with headlight washers?

Yes, with a caveat. The high beams will not be combined low and high beams without adding the control module (one for each headlight).

Yes, the corner piece with the hole is for headlight washers. These can be changed out separately.

Thanks Loren,

Can you explain what I would need to do to make it all work. I need to purchase control modules? and install them where?

Here is a pic of the lights I am looking to buy. I would also have to replace the corner peices?
