what could be the problem? the sensor? where is the senor?

what needs to be done to fix it?

rear convenience control box ? where is it?

Here is more details of the symptoms:

when it is closed (I'm sure it is closed properly), no warning.

when I start to drive and pass some bumpy roads, it beeps and gives the warning

when I stop and re-accelerate > 3km/h, it beeps again

any advice is appreciated !

Older Cayenne's have sometimes suffered from water infiltration into the button of the glass part ( where the wiper is fitted ), a new button is than inevitably. The first thing to do is always error code checking.

Just to clarify,

1. When you say lid, are you referring to the rear glass lid or the whole rear tailgate door?

2. When the beeps sound, is the glass lid still fully closed?

A common fault was the glass lid would unlatch by itself after going over bumps.
