Carrera 4S Electric Window Fault

Help/advice required please with regards to a problem on a 2004 MY 996 4S...

The passenger side window will not go up on its own with 'one touch' of the switch/button. It will go down fine with 'one touch', but to make it go back up you have to keep your finger on the button until it reaches the top.

I have sent it all the way down, and then held the button down for over 10seconds, and I have also done the same for the upwards direction - but still no good! I have also had the battery disconected/reconnected to see if that made any difference...

For info, the drivers side works as it should. Also, with the doors closed and with the key held in the door lock in the open/towards the front of the car position, both windows go down fine, and then go all the way up again when the key is moved and held in the closed/towards the rear of the car position.

Yes, but does not help...everything works perfect except "one touch" on passengerside.

Seems to me that the one-touch varies from year to year on the 996. I think it is a result of regulations, and can also vary from country to country. Most late model 996s don't seem to have one-touch-up on the passesnger side in Europe.
