2012 Black Edition with Red instruments, red belts and red calipers

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys, looking at purchasing a 2012 Black edition 911.

My question is the car has red instruments, red seat belts and red brake calipers. I thought these cars were all black, does anyone know if it was an option to go with the red items listed above? And if it were an option, doesn't that take away from the notion to 'black out' the car?

Any other thoughts on the Black edition? I know it has the base engine, but seems to have a pretty nice option pack as standard build.

Thanks

COOL CAR. The Red instruments and seat belts in a black interior are gorgeous. If you love the car GO FOR IT!!! You can do almost anything you want as long as you have the bucks.

I am going from a 2003 C4. I drove a 991 C2S and really like it, but this car is significantly less $$. Do you think in the long run the base engine will be a disappointment? all the other options are there. Just wondering....

Not at all. It is not how fast you go, it is how you go fast. If your first impression when you see a car is,"that, is a COOL CAR." Then you are 95% of the way there. I think the steering is also better in the 997. The new electric system needs some work. If the car was loved and the deal is right for you then go for it. One thing. Nothing is sharper than a nicely detailed black car and nothing is more of a pain in the a-- to keep nicely detailed.
