XM Satellite radio module installation help neede

Recommended Posts

Dear Members,

I have 2006 V6 Cayenne with PCM 2.1

I currently have two cables in the rear right compartment of the trunk (one orange and one black) NO CD changer here either. I ended up buying a used XM Delphi module 7L5910563E from Ebay. I also purchased an XM antennae from ebay as well.

The XM module came w/o any cables. Can I just connect the cables in the trunk to the XM module and the antennae and I am ready to go? I will have to figure out a way to secure the module but do I need any other cables?

Thanks

HI,

So I got my 955.044.900.81 Electric wire harness without CD auto changer but cannot seem to connect this wire to the XM module. From the wire harness I connected the power lead to Figure 15A from the TSB but cannot the optical waveguide connection point Figure 16 A because the leads are not male/female. I am really confused. Is there someone on this forum that I can talk to on the phone. I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

Please PM me.

Okay all....I hope people out there are learning from my trial and errors!

Turns out that I had not taken out the optical protective cover on the harness wires! Oh well. Live and learn.

Hi, old post but did you to route any wire from the back of the car up to the radio in the dash?  Also, I take it that the XM retrofit was a relatively plug and play experience for you and everything is working?
