ODB2 Port stopped working on my 2005 997.1 C2S

Recommended Posts

I signed up for Metromile car insurance (which charges by the mile and uses a GPS tracker that plugs into the OBD2 port). This is great BTW if you don't drive a lot or on a daily basis like me and is saving me at least 50% over regular insurance.

The device wouldn't work and it turns out that I no longer have power at the OBD2 port on my 2005 997.1 C2S. It worked fine a few months ago when I last plugged in my engine management interface which also stopped working. I checked the fuse (F1 in Row B) and it looks fine.

Any ideas on similar experiences and things to check/resolve this would be greatly appreciated.
