window microswitch affect one touch roll-up?

Recommended Posts

Hi fellas,

I have a MY 2006 c2 cab and noticed my passenger window will not one touch roll up.  I also discovered my window will drop 1cm when opening the door, but will not roll back up when the door closes.  Both inside and outside handles will drop the passenger window, but will not roll back up.

Question:  Is the one touch roll up directly affected by this microswitch issue?  And which microswitch do I need to replace?  There are 3?

Many thanks members!!

First, welcome to RennTech :welcome:

The one that controls the window drop is in the top latch assembly above the rear view mirror.

Thanks for the warm welcome JFP.

Would you have a part number or description of the defectivecontrol unit or switch in the top latch assembly?  And would the control unit or switch cause one window not to roll up?

Unfortunately, no as I am away from my shop at the moment.

The latch micro switch operates both windows at the same time.  If only one window is moving, it is not the latch switch.

You probably know this... per the manual for my '05 C2 coupe the passenger window auto-up feature only works after the window is more than half closed.

We are not talking about auto-up, but rather how the windows on a cab work in conjunction with the top release micro switch.
