Durametric & Brakes

Recommended Posts

I replaced the brake booster & need to activate the ABS control newtork in order to bleed the barkes.

The Duramatric I have says 'Moduled failed to initialise' for most options selected.

Any idea's?

First of all, you have a very out of date version of Durametric; you have 3.0.15.0, the current version is 6.5.2.0.  This may be part of the problem.

If what this system is seeing is correct, the ABS module is not communicating.  This could be a faulty module, or a wiring issue.

Running that software version, I'll wager it is a clone Durametric, in which case that is probably your problem.

Would not be at all surprised as that version is more than 10 years old and predates the cable change................

Is anyone able to assist?

I know the oredr of the wheels to do what I need is which function of the ABS 5.3 on Durametric to activate & when.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

My image was what I had up in the shop at the moment you asked.

Procedure:

Bleed the brakes as usual - then bleed the ABS system with the pump running (start the pump after you open the right rear bleed valve).
For the ABS bleed you only open the right rear bleed valve - when you close the valve stop the pump immediately.
The pump should only be run when the valve is open or you could do damage to the system from over pressure.
