air pump noise?

Relatively new to me 06 C4S Tip with 31K. Had PPI and have driven for a couple of months. Drivetrain is smooth and quiet, except for cold start noise. This noise is a  rattling along with a rotating vibration, until 2-3 minutes passes and both disappear with a click. Then all is smooth and quiet. I am used to air pump whirring and increased idle RPM on my 01 Boxster which I have owned since nearly new. Likely culprits? I have not removed the drive belt since it is not a continuing sound.

Most likely the SIA system, which is probably either dirty or the pump itself is on the way out.
