Lost Radio Code - post your request here

Recommended Posts

Yet another car missing the radio code. I am going to unhook the battery to install the original steering wheel/airbag and do not have the radio code. Also, I would like to know if there is a way to verify that the code is correct without having the radio locked. Radio is:

Becker 1

type: 4462

Serial number: 15005578

Boxster S 2002

Thanks,

I hope someone can help with my code. I replaced my battery and now the radio is asking for a code. Here's my info:

CDR-220

BECKER 1

TYPE 4462

SER: Y5036852

24/99

Thanks very much in advance. :D

Try 2835

or 2837

Thanks for the quick response but neither number worked. Am I doing something wrong or are there other numbers I can try?

Thanks so much for the help. :)

My program does not always work. It works maybe 95% of the time but I have no expanation why it doesn't always work.

At this point you will need to contact a dealer or Becker. Becker charges to lookup your code and some dealers do too.

Loren, 2838 worked. Thanks for leading me in the right direction. You saved me a trip to dealer and $$. Thanks again.

Help. I need a radio code for a CDR-210 in a 1999 996 I just bought. It is showing CODE with the "C" flashing.

I think the S/N is W5018297

And what is the procedure to enter it? I see the buttons below correspond to the digits I enter, but is there a button I press/hold afterwards to confirm entry? My car does not have an owners manual (I plan to buy one).

Thanks for any help.

Here is the link to download the manual for the CDR-210: http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?a...mp;showfile=543

I can't give you a code, but hopefully Loren will see your message and help you out.

Good Luck!

Neither code worked. I entered the code and then pressed the signal seek switch each time.

I got the S/N br pressing the 8 and 0 at the same time and selecting S/N - is that the best way or should I pull the unit and look at it? Thanks.

Sometime the program does not work and in that case you will need to contact a dealer or Becker.

I do not know about a CDR-210 but on CDR-220 you don't press any keys after the code.

Thanks for the try. I do appreciate it!

Hi, I hope someone can help. I just had my car painted and they disconnected the battery and now I have lost the radio code. this is the info I have found. I'm not sure how to go about getting it. Any help would be appreciated.

Becker 1

type 4462

# Y5038582

24/99

Thanks

Hi Penny.

How did you get the information about type and number that you posted? I have no paper work on my CR-210. Also, when you entered the codes that were suggested to you, what procedure did you use? Just replace CODE with the four digit number? And then the first number kept blinking. What did you do?

Thanks for passing along the information you already got.

Is that your VIN or radio serial number?

If it is your radio serial number then try 8893
