After adding 19" wheels/tires, I made my understeer much much worse! I'm looking into suspensions options now and will get an alignment once the suspension parts are installed.

First thing that comes to my mind is to reduce the dramatic weight transfer under hard acceleration. So far it is either JIC/Cross or H&R coilovers and swaybars & strut tower braces. But I am admittedly an ametur at this stuff.

As a former M Roadster owner, I disagree with their characterization of minimal oversteer in the ///M Roadster suspension. My ///M was far more interested in swapping ends than the 996 ever thought about being. There are tons of examples of that behavior on the various z3 forums.

This is a very incomplete article. It covers about 5% of what people should know about what causes understeer and oversteer.

FWIW, I prefer a racecar with a little "lift-off" oversteer for rotating the car in the first half of the corner and neutral to a little understeer under power for getting out of the corner quickly without burning up your tires.
