" Can you give me a code for my PCM?These units are manufactured jointly by Siemens and Becker, and the only place where you can get the codes required is from the dealer/OPC.     Only dealers can research service records and then only if the service was documented by the previous dealer. For security (of the previous owners) they will not likely give you any copies of work done - but you might get them to confirm a date and whether it was done under warranty or not.

    I do not see an exchange part available from Porsche. Sorry. It looks like an MSRP $507.26 for the control unit. There will be at least one hour of programming to program the new module to your car. That will need to be done by a shop with a PST2 (or PIWIS) and will require your IPAS codes. Of course a dealer/OPC can also do this. If a third party shop does this programming then you will need to go to a dealer and request your car's IPAS codes printout. Most dealers will require proof of ownership before doing that. And they should not charge you for the printout.

    This would also be a good to time to clear your drains. Do a search here as cleaning drains has been covered many times.

    Alarm two beeps means there is an alarm fault. And... C3 is the alarm fuse. Did you have any water get in the car? Especially under the driver's seat - where the alarm and central locking control unit is. If you did, then the alarm unit will need to be removed cleaned and dried out. Even then if there is corrosion then you may need a replacement.

    1. Sounds like the switch is either misaligned or bad. You will need to remove the center console to repair. 2. Replace the back-up light switch. 3. If this continues to happen then you likely have a bad coolant tank level sensor. It is on the bottom (outside) of the tank. 4. Check to see if the window sticks when opened or closed fully. If it does then you need to clean the window and seals at the base first. If there is no sticking then you likely have a bad microswitch in the door. If that is the case then you will need to remove the inside door panel as the switch is located in the door handle release.

    The correct cables are specific to the options on the car. We will need to know C2 or C4 and what other options on the car (i.e. PCM/Radio, CD-Changer, AMP, Telephone).

    Yes PCM and with or without air conditioning are part of MOST programming. And you may need to set the MOST switch to "open" (per step 29 of the programming.
