  4. How about both are wrong... He is wrong by a few ftlb and your manual page is from 2002 (pre-DFI V6). Here is what the DFI V6 service manual says (from the 2013 update):

  10. Yes - as said Porsche lists them as a direct replacement.
  11. For the 996 series (narrow body cars) -- 996 351 405 01 is a direct replacement for 996 351 405 00.
  12. The control module is located in the passenger compartment on the right on the B−pillar in front of the rear seat well. Best get some further diagnostics - you don't want to replace the control unit if the problem is bad/damaged wiring or a faulty valve. If you replace it the coding will need to be transferred using a (PST2 or PIWIS).

  14. P1702 identifies a short to ground at the control unit or one of the Tiptronic valves. Further troubleshooting is needed to determine the exact cause. Since this is an auction car you should also check for damage to the Tiptronic wiring harness.
  15. Usually body color or black for standard Boxsters. Boxster S got Titanium Silver grilles.
  16. 996 TT never got an ABS/PSM change from 2001 to 2005 - it was always ABS 5.7. There were a number of updates to the software but the only way I know to be sure you have the latest is with a PST2 or PIWIS tester. Just re-code it and it will automatically get the latest version. BTW... none of the software updates completely fix the wheel-slip faults that some folks always get under heavy acceleration.
