  1. Well I replaced the motor with lots of pictures. The wing is not working right. I had the wing all the way up and just swapped motors. It likes only goes down about half way. Looks like I need to remove the motor, drop the wing by hand and put motor back on. Any advice? Paul
  2. I would find a speed shop that sells racing fuel. Some race tracks sell racing fuel. Aviation motors are made for lead fuel to keep them from knocking. Paul
  3. You might have some built up dust in the window runners. The best solution is to take the door apart and add some Vaseline to the runners. Paul
  4. The spare does fit in the front trunk. It may not fit in an all wheel drive car. Paul

  7. Shifting is all about speed. At the race track you change to the next gear as close as you can get to the red-line. How far away is "Watkin Glens" Race tack from you? Paul
  8. High speed driving above 150 mph is dangerous. I have been up to 155 mph and the front end was light and there were small gusts of wind. I think a 50 lb bag of concrete in the front trunk would help alot. Paul
  9. The S is a not expensive part. It just glues to the trunk. It is esay to pry off with a hand. Paul
  10. That is pretty interesting that the diodes wear out. Ever try changing the diodes with a soldering iron. I still for the time saving buy a new re-built alternator. Paul
  11. No problem. Happy to help. I tried playing with the dog bones at the track. This track had more left turns then right so I made the inside (driver's side) dog bone length, 1/2 inch less in length. This made no difference in track time or road turning over a short time. Information I learned while driving the track. Paul
  12. I have a friend who blew out his PASM by lowering it only and adding a LSD.. Good luck to you. It is an easy check to see if one is blown. You just walk around the car and push down on it. You will notice how spring-ie it is, even with the car turned off. Paul
  13. The yellows make noise like a school buss. They brake great but wear out fast. The blues work great and work for a couple DE's. Paul
  14. Your volts look good so I would try looking at other areas then the alternator. Maybe new alternator cables? Paul

  16. The dog bone components looks like well built drop down links. For track I would add a rear sway bar. Good for 5 seconds. Paul
  17. This is the same problem I had. I replaced the micro switch but it did not fix the window problem. It is a little more work but I would replace the door handle part. I have a DIY on this part. It is a part that does wear out with use. Paul
  18. Here is my car on Infineon (Sears Point) raceway going thru turn 7. You enter at high speed, brake hard, make a hard right hand 180 degree turn, and accelerate hard leaving the turn. Note in the picture that you can see light under the right front tire. This tire was higher in the air before I installed a bigger rear stabilizer bar. The bigger bar made the car act more like a slot car. Paul
  19. The goal on the track is to have the same temperature across the entire tire. You will let out 2 psi air at the track to get this right. After one lap the tires are up to temperature and then you verify the tempertures the minute you come off the track. I never put nitrogen in the tires but I heared that you want to purge the tire first before you add the nitrogen. Paul

  21. I had my car aligned for track use. They put very small shims in the bottom rear a-arms. This stopped the car pushing when entering a high speed turn. The point is the rear insides still wear out even if I did not do anything with the alignment. I guess you could call it weight shift engineering. The only solution would be a straight axle, but then the car would drive like a truck. Paul
