  1. The button on European cars work only with the doors closed and lock and engine running.
  2. Weld a bit on a normal key to get out the small screws, it is possible, but not easy. Pull out the changer through the existing opening in the trim, without dismantling the trim.
  3. It is possible to remove the lower part of the bumper separately but it is difficult, the fastening hooks are very very fragile. Porsche advice to remove the bumper completely.
  4. Hi The problem is the pressure in the cabin, the air escapes along the side windows on top in the hooks. The window seals are not thick enough in the hooks. Tape the side windows with masking tape on the outside and do a test drive. Let us now the result.
  5. Indeed, simply disconnect and reconnect when completed, this have nothing to do witch engine alignment.
  6. You have to turn the hydraulic piston, when he is up, in to the bottom of the wing with a special key.
  7. The oil filter on a V6 is situated on the bottom left front side of the engine.
  8. The fittings are all the same, bring the switch in the good position with a little bit of grease to the contact area and turn 90 degrees ( to the left or to the right it's the same ). The switch body color most by the same, brown for the brake pedal and red for the clutch pedal.
  9. There is already a threat on the DIY section: Replace spark plugs.
  10. A faulty in the lock mechanism built in switch is most common.
  11. Firing order 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8 change all the coils, can be necessary.
  12. The one you have in the trunk with the loop means that the ring is closed CD reader or not, if you install a reader you have to announce him on the system with the PIWIS to prevent problems afterwards. The other one is not connected to the ring ( there is no red light when you look in to the connector, right? ) it means that you have to make a connection, find the other end of the fiber and make the connection on the telephone module or the PCM. You need connectors for the junction and look out the fibers have a direction, at the end announce the reader to the system.
  13. Frank It is the nose itself for Cayenne turbo, it's not possible to remove the horns from the wheel arch, the inter coolers are in the way.
  14. With the PIWIS tester aprox. 15 minutes of labour, i don't no the charge for the tester if there is a charge.
  15. Give us some inquiry after visiting the dealer please, i'm curious to know the result, thank you.
  16. I think there is / was a TB for the clock problem in combination with the PCM, there is a good chance that the switch is faulty.
  17. alexsee do you have a sport exhaust? There are a lot with a vibration inside the muffler.
  18. The MAF fixation for Cayenne and 987 is different thy use no longer Torx screws = 6 points star, but practically the same design with 5 points star. If you want to swap them for a test take the complete unit. vizcarra44 can by right if it is a common problem on US cars. Concerning the misfire codes watch the coils for cracking. Success
  19. Motor mount problems on a 996 are not common, thy can start leaking when you lift up the car using the engine oilpan as a jacking point.
  20. No problem after reprogramming the PCM.
  21. The cam sensors are on the cylinder heads in the environment of the coils, trace the wiring and clean the connectors, the rest is a dealer job.
  22. The MAF's are located in the intake pipes just behind the radiators. The fuel filter supply both banks, this is not the reason i guess.
  23. Probably the MAF sensor, you can switch the sensors from the left to the right completely to be sure. Clear the fault codes first.
  24. Both sensors defectif is uncommon, clear the fault codes and try again.
  25. Are you sure if the switch replacement is done correctly?
