  1. If your alarm module fuse was blown,,, your central locking dash button, interior lights, alarm would not be working at all.

  4. My old one cracked around 40F but the new window is fine even in 30F or lower. I hear U DFC69,,,the quality of the stitching work was terrible. my hand stitching job is better than that :lol:
  5. most likely it's the latch micro sw. there are many related topic in here. what happens when U pull the inside handle?
  6. Deenergize the HID ballast power connection & see what happens,,,ballast can be defective cause all sorts
  7. It is an awesome car! My 01 986S(Kathy baby) she sure is an WORRIER. When I was doing a couple of 3000miles back2back trips to Cali, made me realize how great this roadster truly is ! I grew up on Porsches. I also like to think I can fix just about anything on these cars. At 61.000 on the clock Kathy has been flawless. original MAF,AOS,BATTERTY,TANK,,,,,,, EVERYTHING. Owning her for app 5yrs, only thing I 've done is a couple of oil change(every 8000) When she behaves well like that of course all my attention shifts toward the all sorts of modification which makes me a very happy guy :lol:
  8. uhm 40miles & takes 8hrs? at 77.000 miles it wouldn't hurt to change your ATF/filter
  9. Look further,,,price is almost fair but not with a faulty abs pump & belt buckle? who knows what else is wrong Yup tons of early 97-99 986s out there. where are U located?

  12. 4th stalk is possible to do it that way, just not sure if its possible for the wiper switch.
  13. Yup , hard to believe they both are broken all at once. What happens when U push the central locking?
  14. It is hard to tell from that pic. possibly CEC c856 or Victor racing?
  15. #14 would be the level sending unit, thru the fender I believe
