    Thanks for the tips. I will try it this weekend. Does anyone know the 3M glaze works? I was told use glaze with a buffer to remove the scratch and then wax as final.

    I found a long fine scratch on my car. It is not that noticeable. The scratch only appear on the clear coat and not deep to the paint. Can someone tell me the best way to handle it? Thanks.

    My 4 months old 05 CS just started to do that few weeks ago. If there is a TB for that, I better wait till my next service. I was thinking to put on some WD40 or something.

    I removed the Kenwood FM modulator and replaced it with one made by Audiovox. Its sound quality is far better than the Kenwood. I don't think there is any problem of the Kenwood. I think the PCM of the Cayenne doesn't have much FM amplification for the radio. Due to that, noise increases when volume is up. One nice about the Audiovox is it comes with a detachable noise filter for audio in. I tried it with & without the filter and the filter really works. Other than that, the Audiovox has only two selectable frequency & no adjustable gain control. If anyone wants to try a FM modulator in the Cayenne with PCM, don't spend any time on the Kenwood.

    Is Battery Tender the same as battery maintainer? If the battery is full charged, there is no current running to the battery, right?

    No one sells the Panasonic and there are only few name brands out there. I will remove the Kenwood FM Modulator because it doesn't even have the minimum reasonable sound quality. Unless the unit has problem or it won't work with the Cayenne. I ordered another FM modulator made by Audiovox & try it this weekend.

    I am not alone. My wife always complains about I park the car too far even a space right at the door of the shopping mall.

    The Kenwood has a gain control. I tried to see to have the best combination with the gain control of the FM modulator & the volume of the ipod. If I set the gain control & volume of the ipod to low, I have to turn the volume of the radio high and a lot of noise. If I set it too high, there are some clipping at certain frequency (voice frequency).

    I tried few FM Modulators but non of them gave me reasonable sound quality, not just that, it sounds very bad. The one I am using now is Kenwood. I don't know is something wrong with mine or what. The sound just very poor no matter how I adjust it. I am about to remove it and try another brand. Anyone have good luck with other brand of FM modulator beside Kenwood?

    Gary, From the above picture, could you point out exactly where to place the jack? You provided very good insturction. Still want to make sure not to make a expensive mistake.

    Andre, Mine has all the recalls & latest updates. Transmission shifts very well and not a problem. The only standing problem is after makinng a fast turn, then add gas when exit the turn. The S has no response until you floor the pedal. It takes 1 to 2 second to response. This is very important for a "sport vehicle" when exiting a turn with this kind of delay. First I thought it was a downshift problem and it stays at the high gear at the turn. After driving the S for over two months now, now I don't think is the transmission. The car has enough power and even at high gear, it should still accerate even light panel on the gas once exit the turn. It doesn't seem the have the same problem during normal driving. I guess the next update will have to be the software for the e-gas. Do you have this kind of problem? George

    Thanks Jeff, The only problem is after put the adapter to the back of the PCM unit. the adapter pushes the antenna plug of the PCM and bent the antenna connector of PCM. I was able to put the unit back but I know the connector behind the PCM is bent. So I need a "L" 90 degree adapter for the antenna plug. I called Becker USA and they have it for $50.00+ including shipping. The guy at Becker said it is custom made from German.

    I installed a FM modulator for my Cayennes with couple of M-F/F-M antenna adapters to the FM mouulator's Motorola plugs. In the back of the PCM II, it has the Europe type of male of antenna plug. After I plugged the "Europe to Motorola antenna adapter" to the back of the PCM II, it sticks out too far and I have hard time to put the PCM II back to the dash. Does anyone know who carry a "L" or 90 degree adapter for the European Antenna connector? Thanks.

    HarryR, Anytime, if you want to see how it looks like, my cars are in Millbrae & SSF area most of time. It is a very personal opinion to like it and accept it or some people think is very urge. For me, I have my 05 CS put on the same week as I got it from the dealer.

    I would like to know if anyone knows how the remove the ash tray draw or the side panel for the PCM. Thanks in advance.

    This morning I was trying to rewire my V1. I found the best spot for the remote display is right in the ash tray. When the tray open, the display will pop up and face right at you. Close the tray and the display is completely hidden. Then I tried to get the RJ12 wire from behind the PCM to the ash tray. I can't get behind the ash tray draw. So I endup put the display back to its original location. If anyone knows how to take to ash tray draw, the side panel of the PCM, or the lower panel of the steering column out, putting the wire to the ash tray should be quite simple.

    Loren, Should I show the "Cayenne Quality-Improvement Workshop Campaign Fall/Winter 2004" to my dealer or just mention it and have them go throught all 18 checks?
