  1. right. Or if you dont have heated seats connect to the empty slot in the fuse box. many do this to hard wire radar locators...
  2. I'm not a pro at this by any means, but there have been many posts about the problems in connecting ipods to the radio system and many posts about psm issues as well. Re the psm, "been there, done that." I'd hold off doing anything additional until the issue has been thoroughly vetted. There is a recent thread about installing a Kenwood head unit, with gps, etc., that accepts ipods that you might want to check. The electrical system involved with the psm seems to me, imho, to be too touchy to mess with. good luck, hope it works out well for you.
  3. good luck, God bless, and happy new year. There are lots of good folks here indeed. j
  4. well, I like the 15-50 blinker fluid, but many here prefer the 0-40. I use Red Line, but most use Mobil 1. Have to be careful not to overfill your blinker tank, or you will get blinker fluid running down your leg when you hit 125 on a hard right auto-x corner. Let the blinker fluid wars begin... forget all the previous oil wars, and "just have fun." Cheers and happy Christmas to all.
  5. They're shot. sounds like the baffles are worn out.... like the sound from a worn-out cat converter when the guts start to come loose. hope not, but imho.... :(
  6. you have to have someone else in the car use the washer, then you hold the stem when it pops up to replace the top. best bet is to never use it if car is in motion. ***** poor design, imho. there is lots of info on this here and at 6speed. good luck...
  7. I agree. I've read in here somewhere that the sound you describe is fairly common and only need a little lube. Put this into the "Porsche Mysteries" file.
  8. how about the wheel balance? I don't think misplaced weights would effect the c4 so radically, but ? good luck...
  9. I have no clue about this issue, but would be interested in the solution. good luck, keep posting...
  10. consider becoming a contributing member, and... try the search feature. this issue is all over the forum, esp for 03 and 04 like yours and mine. welcome. enjoy.
  11. It's worth it to have the Durametric software (and a laptop computer) just to clear the airbag light.
  12. Nope. My 2003 C4S is my daily driver with about the same mileage. Never noticed what you describe, although road surface does effect tire noise. I like Bridgestone 050 pole position's. Hope you solve this interesting question....
  13. Stop looking. Fog light is only on the left side. Cheers, jl
  14. Do not use any belt dressing on a serpentine belt. Belt dressing is for V belts only. good luck,
  15. Find someone with the Durametric software, a PST2 or PIWIS. Without the code everything is just a guess. Yes, use Durametric to clear the light....
  16. Yes, Loren's right. I had to replace the idler pulley near the alternator. Made a whistling-type sound similar to what you describe. good luck..
  17. Oregon State Troopers, generally great guys by the way, are using x-band.
  18. Tounor, was this ever resolved? Happened to me once today in a tight left. Others?
  19. I don't intend to start the "oil wars" discussions up again, but could not find out much on Red Line oil using the search engine. I've just changed over to Red Line from M1. Anyone have positive or negative thoughts on this?
  20. My mats are in excellent condition it's just the screw in fasteners that keep popping out The hole in the floor is a bit to big now from large POI sliding into the seat Does anyone have a solution to affix those screw-in-fasteners to the floor ?????? R- Sigfus see post above
  21. 03 C4S daily driver for about 1 1/2 years. 79 911sc daily driver for 326k miles.
