  1. No signs of water, corrosion, flood or other, anyway I cleaned the mainboard with a spray cleaner but nothing changed! The unit is a M534 996 618 260 06
  2. Update... I finally had a new sensor (number 2) from the dealer, now I have fault 33 & 34! I do not have the Alarm Siren and the tilt sensor, I checked the compartment monitoring sensor by closing the car with the remote and keeping the window open, after 30s if I move my hand inside the car the alarm horn goes on! so the sensor is actually working?!
  3. Update, I do not have the Alarm Siren and the tilt sensor, I checked the compartment monitoring sensor by closing the car with the remote and keeping the window open, after 30s if I move my hand inside the car the alarm horn goes on! so the sensor is actually working???
  4. Yes, I've checked pin 1 and 4 on the sensor plug, I can read the battery voltage... Anyway I finally had a new sensor (number 2) from the dealer, now I have fault 33 & 34!
  5. Ok... I checked both, so actually I don't receive signals from the wiring, the wiring harness is ok! is it possible that the new passenger compartment monitoring sensor is broken? will try to get another one tomorrow at the dealer...
  6. but.... should I check the pin 24 and 8 on the control unit alarm system or should I check pin 24 and 8 on the plug A by itself?
  7. I'm having voltage ON at pin 24 but I already unplugged the siren and the interior sensor before testing, at this point should I try to connect 24 to 3 with a straight line?
  8. I changed the one (the unit) near the reading light, where is the other one? No radar detectors in Italy :(
  9. Trow away your old 8-bit cd map reader but keep the front panel!
  10. I've the 96-39 Fault code 33... Replaced passenger compartment monitoring sensor, but nothing happened.. I'm following the instruction for the fault code 32 (it look to be the same as 34) I have a battery voltage displayed instead of 0, now, how I can check and repair the wiring harness??
  11. I'm not randomly changing parts, the workshop manual literally says "Replace passenger compartment monitoring sensor" for the error code 33.
  12. I'm trying to fix this problem since 3 years or more... finally got my PIWIS, the fault code memory says "33", at page 90 - D 41 of the workshop manual it says "Replace passenger compartment monitoring sensor", I replaced it for about 130€, nothing changed... same fault code! So, I started to do all the tests points of the workshop, from number 22 to 36, and the only thing I discovered was an issue on test point 32 step 3, now the solution is to "check the wiring harness for pinches and chafing damage"... My question: is there any simple way to test this wiring harness??
  13. On my 2000 C4 I mounted a Lancia 16-bit drive, my navigation software now read LANA642, they are identical
  14. Same issue with my C4! Maybe it's normal because the servo has to be pressurized by the motor and it take some seconds...
  15. Just changed the left resistor, everything is working now! ;) Yes, when the AC is on both front fans should go to stage 2 - high speed.
  16. Hi Loren, when you turn the AC on does both the front fan should turn on? I'm trying to see if I have a fault on my left fan resistor...
  17. Anyway both fans are suposed to turn on? On my 996 when I turn on the AC only the right fan turn on, how i can jump the resistor of the left fan to see if it is working or not? I also checked the relays, it seems that they are all ok...
  18. I've changed all the lower arms last year, there is less noise but definitively there is still noise! for 300 bucks x4 it isn't worth the money...
  19. I already checked all the pulleys by removing the belt first and the noise was really coming from the AC clutch or possibly by the bearing, I finally founded the right bearing size at 2 AM and I got it yesterday, it took me 10 minutes to remove air cleaner, belt, AC clutch and bearing! Now I've no noise anymore!
  20. I have your same problem! my indy just told me that it's possible to change the bearing inside the magnetic clutch that's usually causing the noise, now I'm keeping the noise, until I find the right way to remove the pulley...
