  1. Perhaps your remote is bad, but it could also just need to be reprogrammed by someone with a PST2 or PIWIS... Sunset has the best prices...
  2. Welcome to renntech. I see no reason why the phone can't be unplugged (cable in the center console and subsequently removed. Perhaps it is best to do tis with the battery disconnected to be safe, but it should not throw codes...Looks like yours is a right side drive....in the future it helps to state the model, MY, and origin...to get help.
  3. you could go with an aftermarket exhaust also...just another option as bumper will require paint as well.
  4. read this thread...you have PCM 2 with OS 3 which is CD based nav.
  5. Actually the best move would be to upgrade to a turbo...LOL. They are really cheap right now.
  6. Not sure you'll have to worry about over revs...it is a tip right? In addition to what Loren already posted, you may need/want to replace /upgrade suspension (coil overs, links, etc.). And then of course you may want more power (exhaust/ecu flash, etc.)....enjoy.
  7. check out this thread there is much discussion about how the typical system doesn't work on hollows, but near the end of the thread I believe they found a solution.
  8. Glad you got it figured out...looks like it may be a flaw in the casting...
  9. did you try the learning process again? Teaching lifting/sliding roof drive 1. With the ignition switched on, press the lift button and move the lifting/sliding roof drive to the "raised" limit position. 2. Press lift button again and keep depressed. After around 10 seconds, a complete cycle takes place from the raised limit position to the positions "lower open close". Teaching of the characteristics has been completed after this process. Note: The lift button must not be released during the entire process. In the event of a restart, the lifting/sliding roof must always be moved to the limit position first. 3. If the lifting/sliding roof drive should move back in Item 1, then the closing force limitation function has responded (lifting/sliding force drive was taught). The open button must be re−taught in this case. Teaching lifting/sliding roof drive 1 Press the open button until the sliding roof stops. Then release the button. Press the open button again until the lifting/sliding roof drive stops again. Then release the button. 2 Press the open button again and keep depressed. The entire process takes place after approx. 10 seconds: "close − lift − lower − open − close.".
  10. please use the search function as this has been covered multiple times.
  11. If you can report the actual codes, that would help. Often there are faults in the seat belt buckles...I have not heard of an actual airbag module failure (not saying it can't happen). Replacing the bag itself is easy.
  12. Sharky has a fine rep so I think you are good to go. I would stay far from the V-flow though...I blew several MAFs with that thing...I know it works for some, but seriously I think you will get very little for that mod. The DVs and flash will be fine as is.
  13. You should be able to hold .8-.9 with X50. I suggest you get codes read...likely check for leaks in the system....also when was your last plug/coil change?
  14. Welcome aboard. You will find this site provides the BEST technical support..period. You have the following options: 1. try a soft reset...this is done by inserting the battery reverse polarity for about 10 seconds and then installing it correctly 2. A new battery (as stated above) 3. "Wake" the key fob...insert in the door and unlock the car then hit the remote button...this happens if the key fob has not been used for 5 days 4. reprogram...this needs a Porsche tool (PIWIS or PST2) 5. New key (and reprogram)...most $ I have heard that if you don't use the key for >6 months it needs to be reset, but I have never tried this (I always use both keys at least once every 3 months)
  15. That code reader will not suffice...get a Porsche reader (see my list)...otherwise we are just guessing.
  16. What code reader are you using...if you got lights on the dash the codes should be stored in the DME. Use PIWIS, PST2 or Durametric. It could be fuel related...when was your last plugs/coil pack change?
  17. Is this a ROW car? If so do you have the key FOB that opens the top? Perhaps you have a short or are pressing it without knowing....
  18. I am not sure if speed bumps conform to some national or international specification...I have mine lowered on PSS9s and have the Techart Type II bumper...I make it over most speed bumps if I take it slow (ironic) straight on...if the bump looks bigger than normal, I just approach on an angle.
