  1. Exactly what mcbit500 said, I did the repair last week, works like a charm! Might seem like a lot of work but wasn't too bad and a cheap fix.
  2. Both the rear handles will lock the car by pushing the button but neither will open if the car is locked. Yes thank you very much, especially by posting the part numbers was a huge help!
  3. Well I replaced the 2 Mosfets and the 6 resistors. I plugged the KESSY unit back in and it said "Ignition Faulty" then it started right up with the Porsche Entry & Drive dummy Key. I drove the car a bit and then tested the locking button on the drivers side and it worked again! The unlocking by touching the handle is also working on the front driver side door and the front passenger side door. My tailgate also works fine again. The only thing I have a question for is that neither of my rear doors open while touching the handle, I am guessing this is not normal? Can anyone confirm?
  4. Got all the parts yesterday, going to get a co-worker to help me solder them in this week!
  5. Thank you for the detailed DIY! Much appreciated clarksongli! Will order the parts and try this ASAP, will report back for fun :) i posted a DIY in common fixes and repairs. there is a link there FYI...these resistors sit across the drain of the transistors, if the resistors are blown, it's because one of the mosfets is bad. Translation, replace everything at once (2 transistors and all 6 resistors.
  6. I am about to do this repair as my Entry and Drive has stopped working and I really miss that feature! Does anyone know the exact part numbers for the 0.22ohm fusible resistors? There is so many different kinds. Thanks!
  7. Great thread and pictures thanks! Only thing is you do not have to remove all that to change the battery. All you need to do is remove the front 2 bottom bolts and the whole seat will just tilt back, it's on a huge hinge. Might save some people time and its hard to get the front carpet plastic piece back in without leaving a gap, this way you dont have to take it off.
  8. Can you not get the TPMS sensors replaced? The batteries are probably low causing the bad readings. Sorta off topic but on what highway can you do 100mph? That's like going 160km/h!
  9. Thanks, the double door is 16ft wide x 7ft high and the single is 9ft wide x 7ft hight im guessing? Thanks Brit6 Dimensions (floor, edge to edge excluding baseboard/skirtng)= 20.5 ft deep x 28.75 wide
  10. Love your garage man, i am in the process of building one pretty much the same size. Would you mind sharing the dimensions and door sizes? Thanks!
  11. It goes by your VIN # but i just ordered another set (4) for my 04 CTT summer wheels and the new part number is 95536166101 they are around $115-$125 each from the dealer and well worth it. I ordered the same set last winter for my winter wheels and they are perfect.
  12. Nice work, i fixed mine as well. The plug came right out of the socket and was just hanging lose. I plugged it in and i have not had the error since. I did open my pumps just to double check and they looked fine. Now if only i could fixed my heated seat issue.
  13. Is there a guide for removing running boards and installing the plastic shields again? I have removed mine but now there are 2 big holes where the running boards were and all the slush/rain/snow is getting in there. I have looked at the diagrams online and it looks like i need to purchase a plastic shield for each side but i am not sure how they attach, since according to the running board installation TSB, you need to remove some mounting brackets. Oh and i also need to buy and install the rear spray protection flaps again and find out how those install.
  14. I could not find a part number on it but how about this diagram http://www.autoatlan...3-06/813-30.php Number #9 could be it? That diagram is LHD though.
  15. I found the parts you need, take a look at this site for the part numbers: http://www.autoatlanta.com/porsche-parts/9PA-03-06/601-00.php looks like # 8, 9, and 10 are needed.
  16. I know which piece you are talking about. I removed this piece yesterday to access my heated seat relay. I will see if there is a part # on it.
  17. Did you find the problem Mr. Haney?? I keep getting the P0492 code, i erase it and it keeps coming back. It doesn't like something haha P0492 Secondary air injection system, bank 2 - below limit Possible causes: - Fuse F4 faulty - Open circuit to secondary air injection pump - Short circuit to ground in the lead to the secondary air injection pump - Secondary air injection pump relay mechanically faulty - Secondary air valve sluggish - Secondary air injection pump (air cleaner) blocked - Air hose to secondary air injection pump slipped off or is crushed - Secondary air injection pump faulty / stuck Hey thanks Loren- maybe you could help with a couple other q's? I keep blowing fuse #4. 1. If I apply 12v to the air pump itself, should it run? 2. Which air pump is fuse #4-40amp, in the underhood fuse comp. linked to? Pass. or drivers side? 3. What do relays 19&20 in the underhood fuse comp. link to? 4. I have continuity and 0 ohms resistance on the drivers side air pump, the only one I messed with. 5. Do you know where the air pump ground goes? 6. Are the air pumps ac or dc? 7. Does the air pump relay function by providing a ground to complete the curcuit or by applying power? 8. What condition tells the computer to run the air pumps? I know this is a laundry list of q's so, I thank anyone who can help in advance as I'm kinda tapped out money wise right at the moment. I just picked up the vehicle and have all those expenses.:) P0492 Troubleshooting.pdf Perhaps you would consider a donation to this site? Yes, absolutely, thank you!!!!
  18. Bumping an old thread instead of making a new one. My 04 CTT has been idleing a little rough and the CEL came on just today, code P0492. The coils are not cracked "05" version. I guess i should bring it to a mech to check the things on the list?
  19. Thanks for the info! I hope i am able to do it without that much trouble, i hate not having a cd player in the car (the in dash cd is the nav cd always). Try downloading the PCM owners guide that Loren posted: http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php/files/file/546-pcm-2-owners-manual/ it has some helpful tips to change the disks and operations of the buttons :) ABSOLUTELY a PITA. Porsche could have made it simple by just making the opening in the panel a bit larger on the left side... especially for something that was a commonly installed by dealer at the time of sale device. And imagine, if they made the cables/fiber long enough so you could plug it in without contortions and blind-feeling-around, and.. and.. had locking tabs to allow it to snap into the bracket. Nah.. never happen. Happily - it worked great going into work today.. but the PCM interface for it is rather difficult. The <- -> buttons will jump tracks on whatever CD is playing, but so far - I haven't found the same functionality for swapping disks. Am I missing something here? I found I have to go into the AUDIO menu, then scroll to SELECT DISK, press the knob, then scroll to the disk I want, and press the knob again. To say this might be distracting at speed is a great understatement. You should be able to do this with buttons alone. What did I miss? FWIW: BMW's E39/5-series interface is better done. You can select what disk you want with the 1-6 "memory" (used for stored radio stations) buttons, then skip to tracks by using the <-> button (which has an "M" for manual button in the middle - which allows scanning the current track.) And you can also do this from the steering wheel. No need to move eyes off the road.
  20. It is extremely confusing, there are 8 different configurations depending on the options of your Cayenne. It is a little intimidating compared to some cars! I will keep looking for mine, but i can't seem to find it. I am going to take apart the trim anyways to install it. I am actually not sure why they went optical instead of copper wire, optical doesn't get interference or signal degration.
  21. Im not refering to the optical cable that runs from the PCM to the BOSE AMP. That one is already there and i dont have any cable running to do. I am talking about the little opital wire about 6 inches that runs from the bose amp to the cd changer. I signed up here and downloaded the 15 page install guide that mentions how to install it, i just want to wait for the warm weather to do so. It is referenced in the manual as OW (BOSE sound package w/CD changer) #95564230400, and Plug for OW #95564232100.
  22. On my PCM i have the option for CD or CDC for selecting which option i want to play, but it must only be on PCM 2.0 versions without phone.
  23. Your lucky you were able to find both cables. I have an 04 turbo and i can only find the power but not the optical wire, even though i have the CD changer prep option. I guess i will have to buy the piggy back opital cable from the dealer, i checked and its around $150US. Ouch!
