  1. With discount it should be around $90~$95. Just paid $90.33 a month ago to Sonnen.
  2. To remove the Coolant tank it is in the service manual. You remove the bolt that can be seen by the Engine Tq. arm (may be easier with Tq Arm removed from body side and swung out of the way. Then you need to remove the right headlight to access the larger holding bolt with a socket & extension. Then there are the two hoses that need to be un-clamped when you get it loose.
  3. I take it from the upcoming comparison then that yours is a Turbo? If so, that does seem a bit low. I don't think you'll really see any difference with the Air Filters as the stock air boxes are German paper filters are pretty good. I've seen some back to back Dyno tests of Audi S4's & RS6's with both BMC & K&N filters and negligible changes, some slightly higher, some slightly lower, more of changes attributed to heat soaking a bit, even with a cooling period & fan. I don't think you can beat the Mann or Mahle paper filters for keeping the air clean and the MAF's alive.
  4. My Coolant tank also split at the friction welded seam last fall. The parts guy at Sonnen said he had sold quite a few of them and that he stocked extras becaue of the volume of sales. The part # was superseded so we thought that Porsche may have improved the original part.
  5. What your suspension needs depends a lot on the faults that are logged. You really need Durametric or PIWIS as the Suspension fault indicator can be an indication of many faults. Check out this thread and the links inside it. http://www.renntech.org/forums/topic/40212-air-suspension-fault-and-mirror-tilting-in-reverse/page__p__213070__hl__+compressor%20+air%20+hahnmgh63#entry213070
  6. The Vertex Bearing support mount has been discussed here before and on Rennlist. It seems that it transfers more vibration (being that the material is stiffer) into the cabin. Time will tell how the longevity of it is.
  7. There are 3 Fakra connections on the back. The Black one is Antenna, Tan is Diversity, and Green is Video-In. Most aftermarket cameras have the RCA adapter (female plug) so you will need a RCA to Fakra adapter. Most Ebay cameras also come with pleny of RCA cable to reach from the rear of a vehicle to the front whereas I had the factory reverse camera so I was able to plug into the Fakra connection under the trim piece on the rear hatch and didn't have to run a cable. The cable extensions are male to male so you need a Female RCA to Fakra Female to plug into the back of the unit. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CABLE-VIDEO-FAKRA-RCA-VIDEO-ADAPTER-REVERSE-CAMERA-/250868968340
  8. Porsche TSB 04/04 9110 has instructions and a parts list for retrofitting CDR23 Cayenne's with PCM2's.. They are available on here electronically to contributing members
  9. A good Tech can determine the Freon amount knowing the system capacity and the pressure & temperature. There is a pressure/temperature correction chart that will show quantity as long as the capacity of the system is known.
  10. I think any of the 2.1 units can accept a reverse camera. Most aftermarket cameras have a RCA connection and the PCM has a FAKRA connection but there are many companies that make adapters to convert them. My camera failed in my '06 Turbo S and Porsche wanted $1500 just for parts to replace it, I replaced it with a $20 Ebay camera (picture just as good if not better) and an plug adapter for another $15.
  11. Any real 4wd Dyno, not a 2wd w/rollers. No locked Diff's but do turn the PSM off, it will just cut power if anything, ride height doesn't matter, and you don't want that when you want accurate absolute readings. In my experience Mustangs seem to be a little more conservative than Dynojet's. Find a place that does Audi's or the Subaru WRX crowd then you just have to see if it is set up with enough adjustment to do the Cayenne's wheelbase (112.4").
  12. 94K doesn't seem excessive but I would definitely get the fluid & filter changed first. I'm planning on doing mine in the next couple of weeks with 68K.
  13. Here you go: The Japanese company AISIN Co., LTD is the manufacturer and developer of the Rear Wheel Drive TR60SN transmission, which is a 6 speed, fully automatic and electronic controlled transmission. Volkswagen engineers were also involved, in conjunction with Aisin, in the development process for their vehicles and Volkswagen gave it the "09D" designation. The TR60SN, 09D transmission is used in a wide variety of applications and engine sizes. As a result, the number of friction plates, and planetary gears (3 or 4 pinion), will vary depending on torque load requirements of the specific vehicle. The TR60SN transmission uses a gear ratio sensitive system, requiring the correct transmission interchange. The TR60-SN is currently used in the Porsche Cayenne, Volkswagen Touareg, and Audi Q7 vehicles. The 09D transmission uses a Lepelletier arrangement, using a simple planetary coupled with a Ravigneaux type, dual planetary. This is the same type of gear set that was used in the FMX. This arrangement makes six forward speeds and reverse possible, with only five clutch packs and one freewheel.
  14. Yea, as smellthebeans said, the 2003 to early 2005 Cayennes were known for the shifting issues after a couple of years. Porsche came out with a TSB addressing it with a new Valve body and a new TCU with new software. Some have said the Valve body fix alone was good enough. http://revmaxconvert...ut/shop/09dlate has all of the fixes but I had heard on the Touareg forums that there was a place in the UK that did Valve body rebuilds and improvements too. Remember when you are asking about your transmission to a shop tell them you have a Aisin TR-60SN 09D transmission, which is the same as Touaregs & Q7's. There may be minor clutch differences due to Torque loading between the models though.
  15. The 0W-40 is a better oil than the 5w-30, but I personally use Redline which I feel is a much better oil in 5W-40. The Durametric program and cord is the only way I know of to reset the service reminder besides the dealer. If you change the oil, there are two drain plugs on the oil pan that you need to pull. Be careful not to pull the front differential oil drain plug by mistake as someone on here did recently and fried his front differential. You can find some good aftermarket prices on rotors and pads for the Cayenne Turbo, and their are better pads out there for less than the OEM pads. I use EBC Yellow SUV pads and they work very well and dust slightly less than stock, and their cheaper.
  16. Thanks for the writeup, I may just check mine out too as mine only gets a small amount of air in the footwells. Possibly the servo motor is only opening the vent a slight amount.
  17. If you update to the later software whatever map DVD your using right now won't work anymore though, on the other had you can not use the latest Map data DVD without updating to the later software.
  18. If you replaced the head unit it sounds like it may be a failure or (bad connection) of the MOST bus. If it turns on but you don't hear sounds but see the radio frequency then it is the MOST bus. As Wvicary said, have you had any add-ons such as a Mobridge or Dension?
  19. Yes, does it go dead or does it still display the station but just no sound?
  20. I've seen that problem when there is a loose or bad connection with a Most connector somewhere. When you get the message try to select your Phone see if it says "Not Available" also. If not then the Most bus isn't seeing the Phone module either.
