  1. You need to pull some data and measurements to see what’s happening with fuel delivery as well. I have cold air intakes along with a few other bolt ons and a custom tune. I too experienced sluggish response at WOT or heavy loads. After a few tests it turned out my fuel pumps were failing over time. Swapped them out and problem solved.
  2. Small rodent trapped in the HVAC? If PASM equipped air compressor on the way out?
  3. If I am not mistaken CC control inputs would be stored in the DME. If yours is acting up you may have a DME with an internal short or coding issue. Hopefully you only have a bad switch as opposed to needing a new DME.
  4. I had these same codes before and after Frankensteining my CTT Turns out it was a fuel delivery problem at the pumps Swapped out new pumps codes gone and runs like a banshee Only now it’s boring...

  6. I think you’re gonna need to employ a little ingenuity and care in separating them. Whatever you do I wouldn’t heat them. Perhaps you could DM the Admins for assistance. There are also some good videos on YouTube
  7. Update! Actually solved the problem a while ago and forgot to post. So turns out the failing O2s were actually failing fuel pumps. I asked my shop who had rebuilt my engine after I burned it up to do some fuel pressure and volume tests after I got some really concerning live data on the Durametric during tests drives. The live data was showing under load - even light loads - I was running super lean and then when getting in the throttle I would load up and then off the throttle it was instant too rich and snap crackle pop what’s that smell??? My Pig sounded like a poorly tuned Maserati with a fart pipe. Under the hood we go and sure enough instead of maintaining a solid 4-4.2 bar my fuel pumps were starting out at 3-bar and dropping down to 2-2.3 bar at WOT hence the hesitation big gulp of air that the ECU couldn’t compensate for check engine light let of the pedal throttle slams shut and snap crackle pop bang smell all that raw fuel? So the injectors and O2s I figured were good 48lb. Bosch units that were installed when the rebuild was done so only other thing to double check was the ECU itself and the fuel pumps. So instead of pulling the ECU sending it out and waiting we tested the fuel pumps straight away and therein lied the culprit. Man they were weaker than my stream at 2AM after a hard romp with the side chick (don’t tell my wife). In with the new pumps and filter and voila!!! The Pig is an angry wild sow again! After doing the intercoolers and fuel pumps I had the motor retuned again and man it’s torquey. Smooth as silk too. I regularly break my rears loose at WOT in 2nd and the up shift to 3rd. But honestly now I’m getting older and soft and it’s not as much fun anymore. The jolt really messes with my arthritis... So I think next project will be some bigger brakes on this beast and then I’ll let it go. Maybe one of the kids will enjoy it. We just got a Panamera e-Hybrid for our daughter and she digs it. I like it too but she won’t trade. I even offered my 996TT to sweeten the deal but she won’t budge. **** kids...
  8. I agree with millerchris85. After all the work and money poured into my CTT it’s eh now and I’d have been better served tuning up my 996TT. If you really must have a sporty drive in a Cayenne then I suggest looking after a 958 GTS, Turbo or Turbo S and having someone tuned them to your liking. Be forewarned though you will wear through ancillaries (brakes, axles, tensioners, etc...) much faster depending on how much and how hard you drive

I’m thinking battery, grounds, and if I’m not mistaken (Loren help me out) the vehicle electrical system controller will activate and deactivate controllers and consumers around the ring as demand and available power dictate for safe minimum safe operation. 30- seconds is enough for the system to check and detect a battery with a shorted cell. Cayennes do really strange things when power is not 100% adequate and stable.

  11. Yes I don’t think that’s factory. I have a similar set up in my glove box that the PO has installed by an aftermarket shop along with an roof mounted DVD player.   12. Wow! If the hat separated from the disc because those fasteners were missing or came loose I fear that rotor may be ruined as the rotational forces while the wheel is in motion may have ovaled-out the mounting holes. Good luck and keep us posted.
  13. My main issues were under the seat at the battery box in the engine compartment at the front the frame rails at the front and in the rear corners where water has collected. The connections were all dirty cruddy and corroded.
  14. Good old pull up and search and you’ll need to check the grounds on the chassis rails up front and rear floor too under the rear seat and spare tire
  15. I’ve had the same issue and Loren was right - bad grounds all over the place and a battery with a couple of weak cells. I replaced the battery cleaned and redressed the grounds and 99% of my issues went away.
  16. Hi I had a custom flash done after an engine rebuild and adding a bunch of bolt on stuff. Was it worth it? For the first few weeks yes but then it quickly became something I really could have done without . The cost of my tune was far less than the $1400.00 you quoted. I’m running a slightly overbore CTT with stock turbos larger all aluminum AKG intercoolers like on the Turbo S IPD intake plenum secondary cat delete with custom 3” cat back exhaust and stock tips (sleeper effect) Agency Power billet diverter valves and a 3” cold air intake system. The throttle response is great the induction noise is great the bottom through mid range is silly fat and torquey and it’ll pull to redline in every gear in a hurry. Extra legal speeds are easy and stop light battles against nearly all but the really expensive stuff is a walk in the park. But honestly the thrill is gone now. My suggestion spend the money on some really good brakes. 955 brakes suck!
  17. A scan with a Porsche dedicated tool like Durametric or PIWIS should be able to identify the culprit straight away A simple visual check may help as well, i.e., when you come out to the truck which end and side seems lower than the rest?
