  1. Broken latch/pin switch I would start there
  2. I had this same problem recently I also recently changed out all my control arms sway links and bushings and adjusted my exhaust hangers while under there and the noise is gone So not sure this is your issue but it may be a place to look
  3. You can certainly have a local Autozone or Pep Boys check your battery or alternator condition for free but best to have a shop with the proper scan tools to check your Cayenne for any active and pending codes. A start stop like that could be any number of faults
  4. Hi Camilee Funny you should ask as I now have a calibration issue with my suspension fault code P1437. My laptop died just as I was coding the last height sensor (HR) so I’m gonna have to do the whole thing over again. But to your question the difference was night and day. The ride much smoother quieter the steering much faster to respond and more accurate. The road feel when really pushing it felt more planted more solid and whereas before I could hear and feel the rear end breaking loose I don’t feel that anymore and no more hop and skittishness under hard braking (my Pig is not stock 😎). I changed the full front arms and strut mounts all tie rods and sway bar links and sway bar bushings. On the rear I changed the lower arms upper arms and track arms shock mounts and also changed the rear links and sway bar bushings.
  5. I have replace mine with a used unit. Simple plug and play. That was about 2 years ago. Haven’t had a single issue

  8. No the reset combination of pressing keys “148” simultaneously will reset the unit without a PIN required Even if you do a “factory restore” from the sub menu no PIN is required
  9. I experienced this right before my unit died for good. You can find good used units for not too much but you may wanna consider a rebuild or an aftermarket unit as well.

  11. Looks like a stock Y pipe and EVOMS Airbox to me No real performance gains unless the ECU has been flashed too but it will sound slightly different I have the EVOMS setup in my 996TT running Garret K24s & AWE 3” exhaust and custom tune
  12. I had this same issue and the fault was the magnets on the circuit board under the shift lever the circuit board had cracked allowing the magnets to get out of alignment and send false signals
  13. I just got these from AM Auto Parts. Full set including front upper and lower arms, sway bar links front and rear, and inner/outer tie rod assemblies
  14. Check you battery health and also the shift selector. I had the same issue and after replacing my battery discovered it was the shift selector going bad. The circuit board underneath had cracked and the magnets attached were being misaligned causing a miscommunication with the dash, key and Kessy module

  16. Had the same problem and ordered my kit from Vertext Automotive Completed the repair in about an hour for about half of what you were quoted
  17. I had a similar problem with my 996TT after swapping bulbs. Turned out I broke the lamp housing when fitting the socket. The socket went back into the bayonet like mount but wasn't making good contact. Ended up replacing the housing with a used one.

  19. I recently had a round of random crazy codes like this that all pointed to a voltage issue but it wasn't the battery. Turned out there was a power cable next to the driver's side SAI pump that had made contact with the pump and the chassis. The insulation had worn down causing a big short and random codes until the power cut out altogether. Replaced the cable and all is well again.
  20. Yes as always Mr. Weller is spot on! So far the tranny and transfer caseand diffs have held up well without issue. Tiptronic was always sloppy anyway but I think that has more to do with the software and valve body than the robustness of the basic ZF unit. And yes,Trump is an idiot and Putin's puppet!
