Missing service book and option code sticker

Recommended Posts

The original service book went missing for my 997, so I purchased a replacement. However, the sticker on the inside of the front cover containing all the option codes etc is now missing.

Is the original sticker duplicated on the car anywhere? It is not on the inside of the hood on a 997, any ideas?

Or, is there any way to get this info or replacement sticker

Thanks

Hi, now that you have the replacement booklet, take the car and the booklet together with your proof of ownership to the dealership, they should then fill in that sticker area by hand, stamp it with the dealer stamp and also write on that page in red pen that it is a replacement book. That is provided that they are the selling delaer. If they are not, you will have to find out who the selling dealer is and take it there. Then you have to find out which dealer did the previous maintenance and ask them to stamp the relevant pages. Good luck

Sorry, forgot to mention that the sticker cannot be ordered or replicated.

Can someone scan a copy of the sticker in the service book and post? Is there anything special about it? Laminted etc? I have mine in the hood but had to order a new book since it was missing. I didn't know there was a sticker there also. It should be easy to replicate using excel. Just need to know what it looks like.

My Boxster S came with everything from the original owner, except the service book. I suspect the service book was kept or trashed by the dealer because of personal info (address, etc) of the orignal owner. Too bad.
