I have a 2003 boxster not type S i currently have the boxster 2 rims on it 255/40/17 in rear i am looking to buy a set of new tires and rimd and i found a pair of cayment rims with wheels, the measurement in the back is 265/40/18 and front is 235/40/18 would they fit on my car with no modifications ?

I think under your front hood there is a sticker that shows different tire sizes. It should show for 18" wheels.

Other than that there are people using 255's on the front. (5-6mm spacers) they would most likely rub the liners.

So the 235's i think will be a great choice for the front. The 265's might be good too but too much tire on the back will rob horsepower.

What is the offset on the wheels? I it is usualy cast in the back of the wheels. The tire size calculator above will let you know how close your speedometer calibration will be. Width and offest will figure out is they will rub. Bolt pattern and hub dia will tell you if it is possible to even bolt them on.

Without knowing your wheel offsets it's hard to tell. Those tire sizes will be pretty tall also so you may disturb your speedometer, ABS and PSM. Standard size for your car is 225/40/18 Front, 265/35/18 Rear. The standard wheel diameter is 25" for both.
