Does Anyone Know Where I Can Get A Replacement Rear Passenger Speaker?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know or have a rear passenger speaker for a 2000 911 Cab in Black? Long story short I had the speakers on the center island because I was working on the side rear window and didnt get to put it back on and got home from work today and my younger dog decided to go all out crazy with it! So I need to find a replacement. If anyone can point me in the right direction or have one laying around please let me know either by reply, PM or email.

Thank you,

Johnny

Go on eBay and do a search for Porsche 996 speaker, there are about 6 sets for sale right now.

Ive gone on ebay and talked to a few and they are stating that the back and fronts are different and it appears that all of the ones on ebay are fronts only. Can anyone confirm that they are different? Because Im hearing they are different and Im also hearing that they are the same front and rear.

Any clarifications would be great.

When I replaced mine, both front and rear, they were the same. I checked PET and can only find a picture/listing for the fronts. Not sure if there was a difference in the speakers according to which stereo option the car had. One of the reason that most listed are for the front is that these are the ones that most people replace. The rears are mostly for in fill.

While this discussion is about finding a replacement speaker, does anyone have a decent recommendation for a aftermarket speaker that will fit using the OEM grills. It seems like we are all in agreement that even a new OEM doesn't sound very good.

There are many threads about replacing the front/rear speakers but they're not clear on whether they replaced the grill as well.

I'm looking to do an upgrade of both the front and rears but would really want to keep the factory grills.

Thanks
