Just had my 2009 cs2 in for starting problems, IE turn the key all lights come on nothing happens. Had to turn key on off many times while depressing clutch pedal to get it to turn over. Seems the switch for the starter lockout was at fault, dealer here in Newport Beach is familiar with problem, may be a issue for other cars as he is seeing this issue more and more. Switch is under floor carpet does not appear to be a good design, as it appears I depress the clutch to far thus destroying switch. Just a FYI if your having starting issues

The switch isnt in the carpet at all - its fitted above the clutch pedal lever, as you press the pedal it releases the plunger.

It is a common fault but has nothing to do with how hard you press the pedal - only possible issue is if you didnt press it enough.

Here in the UK the switch is only £13 and such an easy to do DIY, 5 mins tops

Seems like the common location for pedal switches. I hope the one in the Porsche is easier to get at than the one in my old M3. That thing was a ridiculous PITA (brake light activation switch). Same thing, really, just a different pedal.

Even so, better to deal with something that's as easy to understand as a plunger switch than the voodoo of a PDK if a fault occurs. :D
