I can usually add a little DIY theft proteciton to any car by tapping in to the brake (or clutch on a manual shift) switches on the pedals with a hidden switch, which in turn are connected to interlocks that prevent the car from starting. However my new 2013 Cayenne Diesel is the first car I have owned that does not actually have a brake pedal switch! Or at least not one I can find.

Does anyone know how to access the brake pedal switch connection, or know of a similarly simple interlock that can prevent the car from being started?

The vehicle doesn't already have an immobilizer system in it? Immobilizers shut off multiple electrical and electronic functions making it very difficult to get it running............

Interesting discussion.

I am not aware of an immobilizing system in my CD.

Immobilizers are a common item in most Porsche models, and very difficult to circumvent in a theft attempt; you might want to check your owner's manual, or with your dealer, to see if yours is so equipped.
