Curious about 2001 C4

I am curious. I have a 2006 Base Boxster with no issues and love to drive with just under 80,000 km on it. I am looking at 2001 C4 with 110,000 km. So the question is .... wait for it .... Other than ego is there a great difference in the driver satisfaction between the two??? Value of the boxster trade in is over the value of the "seasonal blowout pricing" of the C4 .... My wife is curious as well and she usually squashes my "just looking" endeavours.

You will find the "driving experience" between the two cars to be totally different things. I would suggest getting some seat time in an early 996 before making the change.
