  2. Thanks, I haven’t seen much online about them and the Porsche PET only shows this factory car alarm for 1986. I also haven’t seen anything on YouTube.

  4. If your car is MY2003 and later then it is a MOST bus car, i.e., the audio units, radio, CD, amps, communicate with each other using fiber optics. That box is a MOST bus interface for the PCCM+ to be able to communicate with the amps. All MY2003+ cars need that box.
  5. Turbos did not have that. That's only for halogen lights cars (only non-Turbo/non-GT2) until MY00 with the M605 option. The little wheel that went into the place of that cover is 996 613 230 01 A01, Potentiometer, headlight levelling system.

  7. Which years did Porsche offer the factory option car alarm with the key switch in the drivers door on the 911 before 1989?
  8. Hey, all! I’m getting the oil pressure fault warning, thought I should check the ground splice while I’m doing other maintenance this weekend. I have the photos from the TSB, but I can’t tell from them where in the car to look for the splice? Are there other wiring bits to check when this sensor reading is yellow?
  9. HI, Thank you in advance! CR-220 Ser: Y5021284 Type: 4362 47/98 Good Day!
  10. Aloha, Have a 2013 3.0 TDI just out of the shop for a coolant leak. $8980.00 Drove for about 10 miles, car started shaking. Thought something wrong with drivetrain. Excessive black smoke and no power. Pulled over had it towed to shop. Now shop thinks its a ad injector. Could repair be related any way to the P0303 code? Any suggestions on a DIY fix? Don't want to have to rob a bank to get this fixed again 🙂
  11. Hello! Does anyone have instructions on how to remove the headrest covers on a 2014. I want to get embroidered but need them off the headrest. Thank you!
  12. I have had good luck with Rejex; Amazon.com WWW.AMAZON.COM
  13. I have New to me a 15 GT3 with black polished wheels, the gentleman I bought the car from was not much of a wheel cleaner. With that said I’ve got the wheels clean but now I can not get the greying or discoloration out of the wheel's. I’ve tried an iron base cleaner and another wheel cleaner no luck on discoloration. Any suggestions or ideas to bring my wheels back to life. Other than re coating them. Thanks in advance

  15. Hi, I would very much appreciate if someone could assist with a code: Model: Becker 1 Type: 4462 S/N X5033158 Thank you for your time and efforts. David IMG_6462.heic
  16. Hello, Requesting help with code for CDR-220, SN Y5047506. Thanks!
  17. Hi Dan. There is a ton of other information already posted on this site and the Pelican Parts website regarding diagrams, pinouts, etc which I’m guessing you may have already found? If you still have any questions though, I’m happy to try to assist as I’ve been researching this myself to try to get rear speakers fitted and working in mine with the 490 option pack (CDR-23 radio, Becker 6600 amp using MOST bus ) Good luck, let us know how you get on. BTW, I also previously posted this diagram that might assist you:
  18. Hello all. In relation to the issue regarding the radio screen going blank, I currently have this issue with my CDR-23 MOST bus radio/CD head unit that has occurred after my car battery went flat and I replaced it. The audio system appears to work just fine (sound from either radio or CD player and the ‘SOUND’ button allows bass and treble to be adjusted) but the screen is completely blank. I emailed Becker about it and they have advised that changing the car battery can cause a power spike that can kill the display. They can repair it but it’s around $250USD plus shipping. Not happy that a simple vehicle battery change can result in such a monumental failure. I’m yet to check the head unit fuse but I’m presuming that if that was blown then the entire unit would not work at all. If I find anything different though, I will provide you with an update.
  19. Hey, new to the forum and somewhat new to the Porsche life. Got my cayenne about 6 months ago and about a month in one of my headlights went out. I’m currently building an overlander with nice beefy tires and steel front bumper and whatnot. So naturally instead of replacing a single bulb I decided to buy custom built headlights to match the build. Just got the headlights in yesterday and realized that Porsche created two different models of headlights. Halogen and Xenon. And now I have $1500 headlights that don’t work on my car. I just ordered two ballasts off Amazon and should be here in a few days. I’ve heard about the need to code to be able to run xenon headlights on an originally halogen car, and was wondering if anyone here has done this successfully. Also is there any wiring that needs to be done? Not sure if anyone has the pin outs for the two different headlights but I’m assuming there’s going to need to be work done there as well. I’m already too deep to forget this endeavor and the custom headlights look so good I’m not stopping now. Any help is appreciated!
