  1. It is both standard and an option - let me explain. All Boxster's have the capability once it is "turned on" in the instrument cluster. To change the display you need to either add the OBC stalk (it goes beneath the turn signal stalk) or add a dash switch. Do a search here for OBC hack -- there is lots of info.
  2. Sorry, only dealers can look up PCM codes.
  3. 996.341.122.90 Left control arm 996.341.121.90 Right control arm You will need the shims too (1 mm, 2 mm, 3 mm, 7 mm).
  4. I get the same code. Where did you get the serial number? off a card or from the radio (as described earlier in this thread?
  5. ALL Cayenne radio systems are MOST (fiber optic) so - yes you would have to replace most everything.
  6. Orange is 8C6 Green is 2D8
  7. Yes, they will work all model year Cayennes - including 2nd gen MY08 and newer.
  8. Well, you can certainly cause damage if you jack at the wrong places - or if the jack slips. IMHO you are less likely to cause damage on a GT3 or TT engine than a Boxster/Carrera engine - because the case structures are quite different.
  9. Jeez... tell them to buy a hockey puck. I think you are ok if there are no further cracks on chips.
  10. It would be very rare to have a leaking RMS on a TT engine. The TT engine is a derivative of the 993/964 engine - not the M96 Boxster/Carrera engine.
  11. We have added and/or updated TSBs in the following categories today (9 total): Cayenne - 4 Cayenne (Gen 2 as of MY08) - 5
  12. My program cam up with a code 2 digits different - 1268 Let us know which one works. back again [working on the car all day ...another issue] ......... thx, but looks like the radio must have been replaced at some time; found this info thru "T/P" scrolling method >>> Becker CDR-220 4462 X5017454 again much thx!! Dux Try 7142 or 7141
  13. Updated... I have a PIWIS, PST2, Durametric Software, and Car Code OBD-2 software. I am in Roseville California (near Sacramento).

  15. My program cam up with a code 2 digits different - 1268 Let us know which one works.
  16. Please do a search - I've posted it here several times.
  17. I wouldn't do it. A C4 is heavier (4WD). So, the spring rates and shock damping is different.
  18. Try 0567 or 0565
  19. Sorry, but TSBs both cost money (we have to buy a yearly subscription) and are copyrighted material. You are allowed to VIEW them here as a Contributing Member. Becoming a Contributing Member here is an option.
  20. I think it is because of the softer metals they use now. The pickle fork prys the joint apart and the newer style tool presses out the joint. At least that is my take. The recommendation I give is from Porsche and confirmed by a Porsche shop foreman with over 20 years at Porsche.
  21. Guess NOT MUCH :help: HERE .... quite :( Disappointed ... Have you tried asking the folks that make that particular steering wheel? Most folks upgrade to the Porsche 3 spoke wheel for the airbag and safety.
  22. Hmm... all of those point to bad wiring (connectors disconnected or broken wires) or all three are bad (not likely in opinion). Only other thing it could be is a bad DME. If all teh wiring looks good then perhaps try disconnecting the battery for 5 minutes to "reboot" the DME. You will need to let the DME relearn after the reboot but just takes a little driving.
  23. Try 5045 or 5043
