  1. On an RoW car (which this is) it would be M536 and it is slightly different than a US/Canada M535 car.
  2. I don't know the year of this car - or whether he had the recall attended to but there was a Voluntary Recall addressed on TSB 2/03 A307 - Check Power Steering Threaded Connection -- dated Nov 24, 2003.
  3. It is going to be some work depending on which hose. Have a look at my 3rd radiator mod writeup in the 996 DIY-Mods section. That should give you an idea of what you are into - maybe easier to get it done under warranty.
  4. Try 0844 or 0842
  5. Remove the B and C pillars. Then remove the one bolt and washer from the small end and the two nuts from the larger end. Remove the window from the bottom to the top (suction cups would be good for this. The gasket comes out to outside of the car.
  6. So is the hinge broken on the latch/lock?
  7. Most of those wire clamps either squeeze or pull to open.
  8. The outer bulb is the side marker light and it should come on with the headlights. Have you tried the emergency flashers to see what comes on? If none of the lights flash then I would suspect the flasher relay.
  9. Cars with sunroofs actually have less headroom (when the sunroof is closed). You will likely need a racing type seat with the Brey-Krause seat lowering brackets. RoW GT3 Club Sport seat are nice.
  10. That is why I was wondering where you were - try and find a shop with a PST2 or PIWIS tester. They should be able to confirm what the problem is.
  11. P0430 TWC Conversion, Bank 2 - Above Limit Possible fault cause - Oxygen sensor ahead of and after TWC exchanged - Valve lift fault - Aged oxygen sensor after TWC - TWC faulty
  12. You could have a bad control module - since that is a code it gave you. Where are you located - perhaps we can get further verification?
  13. I am not sure - I think it might.
  14. I would start by checking the coil packs on the misfiring cylinders. If the CEL is flashing (and I think it is) you should not be driving it or the cats will be damaged.
  15. Model and Year of your car? US/Canada car or RoW?
  16. We have added and/or updated TSBs in the following categories today (17 total): Boxster (986) - 1 Boxster (987) - 1 Carrera (996) - 1 Carrera (997) - 2 GT3 (997) - 1 Cayman - 1 Cayenne - 3 Cayenne (Gen 2 as of MY08) - 5 TT (996) - 1 TT (997) - 1
  17. We have added more of the MY08 Order Guides today. MY08 Boxster MY08 Cayman (updated) MY08 Carrera Coupe MY08 Carrera Cabriolet MY08 Carrera Targa MY08 GT3 MY08 Turbo (updated) MY08 Cayenne (updated)
  18. Should be the same or very very close.
  19. It is the same as described here. (Please try and use Search next time...)
  20. I do not think it includes the storage box. Send an email to JeffClark@sunsetimports.com - I am sure he can help you out.
  21. Please read this whole thread - "Wait" is covered as well as "what if my code does not work...". Sunset Porsche (link at the top of the page - Porsche Parts at Dealer Cost) sell Porsche parts at dealer cost plus 15%. I doubt you can find original parts cheaper anywhere else.
  22. Why not replace your pads and rotors yourself? We are going to have another Work on Cars Day soon - and we will have folks there to help you. You can sign up here (just start a new post). For your radio try 3008 or 3006
  23. Fill it up and put in a can of gas dryer (like HEET). If you don't keep it full you will get condensation in the tank (i.e. water). The charger is a good idea but I would start it and bring it up to operating temperature as often as possible - if not weekly then every other week. You might consider car cradles or move the car every week or two keep from flat spotting the tires. I assume that your car will be in the garage and covered under your homeowners insurance. If this is the first time you have done this you should let your (homeowners) insurance agent know. That is what I can think of. I'm sure others will add some tips too...
  24. Looks to me like your pads/rotors are glazed. It also looks like some of the pad material got so hot it created patches of buildup as it broke loose. I think you need new pads and rotors. You might also consider some track pads and change them before and after each event. Here is a good article on what happened... http://www.stoptech.com/tech_info/wp_warped_brakedisk.shtml#
