    "If two batteries are fitted to the vehicle (main battery and backup battery), these are connected or disconnected to the bus bar in the power distributor through a relay. The switching of the two batteries is controlled independent of the load management (function is integrated in the vehicle electrical system control unit). The starter relay of the 2nd battery is actuated parallel to the starter relay. That means for every start the starter is supplied from both batteries. The backup battery is disconnected from the vehicle electrical system when the engine is switched off and then supplies just one consumer, the vehicle electrical system control unit." Unless those old batteries have been load tested there is no way to know if they can handle starter loads. I would still get at least one new battery and give it a try.

    Lots of places for potential fuel/fumes leaks. And, yes the tank sender unit is plastic and it can crack.

    I would use circuit board cleaner on the board but be careful as old rubberized buttons can tear with rough cleaning.

    Sorry, we can only do later model Becker/Porsche radios.

    There are only a few programs n the DME. So you have to pick one that matches what your car has (i.e. German spec, US/Canada spec, etc.). Otherwise you would need someone to do a custom DME program for your car.

    In most case with bad scratches you need to remove the center console and have it painted. BumperPlugs.com does a great job with these. You can always do the same color or an offsetting color.

    You would need to re-program the DME and likely change the cats too.
