    :welcome: What model and model year car please? Are you getting an airbag light? What fault code(s) are you getting? (there is a TSB for two different faults)

    That ABS block is about $1700 US MSRP - so that is about half the cost. The design changed so there will need to be some other parts replaced too. Lines and some fittings as I recall. You try to convince the dealer that a problem like this should not happen after only 8000 miles regardless of the car's age. Maybe he will give you the parts at his cost - if you pay the labor?

    I would certainly take it back to them. When replacing the DME (ECU) you need to make sure all the proper options are set - especially if they could not copy the old DME info. It is also good practice to run a diagnostic on all the car control modules at that time. And, of course, they should have road tested the car.

    The valves are switched via electrical solenoids but the valves are moved by engine vacuum. Usually engine vacuum comes up pretty quick after the engine is started.

    Generally speaking PLDPROD status means your car is usually built within a couple of weeks.

    If your radio is a CDR-220 - then no MOST. If your radio is a CDR-23 - then you likely have MOST.

    Your DME can not make the mixture rich enough (it sees too much air). Potential causes: – Incorrect signal from MAF sensor – Intake air system leaking – Fuel pressure too low – Volume supply of fuel pump too low – Fuel injectors fouled I would start with the MAF. Since the problem indicates both sides of the engine - it is likely getting a bad MAF signal. You can try cleaning it - but may need to replace it.
