  1. Look for broken wiring inside the door with OHM-meter, if the connector in the A pillar is free from corrosion.
  2. Seat heaters are a part of the ACC module for 997 and 987, reprogramming or change-out with an other one can help you out. Look like the heaters are working only on possition one, left and right as well.
  3. If the fuel filter is mounted under the expansion tank, you got a C4 MY 99.
  4. Replacement with OEM is the only option, turbo clutch is different. I don't no if the clutch is still covered in the extended warranty after 5 years, give it a try.
  5. This rear plate is not an ordinary plate, she is a cooling item for the gear box!!!
  6. Try with new ATF fluid, if there is no result you got an internal gearbox problem with the clutch Assembly's.
  7. Probably one of the two fuel pumps have a problem. The used system is not as simple as that, in the electric box under the engine hood are two relays and two fuses, one for each pump. Under the chassis on the left rear side is the electr.connector to the pumps, some have to much play inside, and the pins will burn and have a bad contact. The pumps are accessible under the rear seats left and right side. I will try to give a short explanation, if you open the car with the remote and take the door handle to open the door, pump 1 gives a pre load. Starting the engine pump 1 and pump 2 are working, after 10 sec. pump 1 stops and the engine is running on pump 2 ( conditions - car horizontal position and fuel tank approx. 15 liter ). If you have a warranty go to a OPC, if not try to get a technical bulletin. Success.
  8. This is a normal symptom with cold tyres, it is a part of the front wheel geometry ( Ackerman effect ). Nothing to worry about.
  9. The diaphragm spring in the pressure plate is cracked, replacement of the complete clutch is recommended.
  10. @ seafeye Look at your wheel rims for deformations.
  11. Pressure plate not flywheel. I hope that you can solved the problem, let us informed.
  12. You should have them connected to the front door control modules like the TSB shows, otherwise they flicker on a 2008.
  13. The pressure plate is a special construction with a automatic adjusting system witch compensate the thickness off the clutch plate during his live, to maintain the biting point at the same possition, worn or new. It is not possible to reset the pressure plate what means that the pressure plate and the clutch plate have to be changed as a unit ( 997 - 987 ) Perhaps that you find out the problem in this area, the biting point is approx. 1/4 travel. Slave or other cylinders have nothing to do with clutch slip. Regards.
  14. Cable adjustment can be done on the shifter in the cabin.
  15. 997 and 987 MY 2005 have still the old engine with the RMS and intermediate shaft problem. From MY 2006 all engines have the revised shaft and seal ( WPOZZZ99Z(6)S****** ).
  16. The last cable operated clutch on a Porsche was 25 years ago, the 3.2 liter Carrera.
  17. You need the MOST cables, and the PIWIS tester to announce and program all the components. Regards.
  18. @ White This tool is standard for all Cayenne's and sports cars with the composite brake rotors.
  19. The amount of oil you can fill til the display shows 4 segments depends on the time that you have to let the engine dripping out. The work shops have no much time and they fill approx. 8.00 L - 8.25 L ( they have also the PIWIS tester to check the level ). If you do the job by your self and you let the engine dripping, let's say overnight, you can fill approx. 8.75L. starting witch 8.50 L.
  20. There are some instructions whats consurns the transmitters in the wheels, they are very fragile. Let the air out the tyre. Push down the tyre at the opposite side of the valve. Remove the valve-transmitter unit. Remove the tyre. Place the new tyre in possition on the wheel. Push down the new tyre on the valve possition. Install the valve-transmitter unit. Put air in the tyre 2.00 bar in the front, 2,50 bar in the rear. Fit the wheel in the same possition as before on the car. In normal circumstances, there should by no fault codes. Regards.
  21. Remove the center console and look wat's happen, hook spring broken or mechanism inside the handle sticks.
  22. The same procedure as 996 - 986 - 997 and 987.
  23. Lift up the rear of the car, the rear sub frame is to much open when the rear wheels are on the floor.
  24. For MY 1999 you have to remove the cam cover, loosen the timing chain, cam shafts and actuator mechanism. Not directly a DIY job IMHO.
