  1. "bigbuzuki" has the correct answer, without error codes you can only guess which air regulating valve or motor causes problems.
  2. So as to see and hear on your movie, it can be only a small detail. It is not that one of the cylinders is missing or so, therefor the engine does not shake enough. Check all the specified items, including the theottle/manifold connection. If you cant see anything, use a PIWIS or similar diagnostic tool to find out whats wrong.
  3. Pentosin ATF is a good choise: http://www.pentosin.net/specsheets/Pentosin_ATF1.pdf It is true that ATF fluid only applies to the gearbox section of the Tiptronic. The differentiol section of the Tiptronic is filled with a 75W-90 manual transmision oil made by Shell. It is important that not ALL of the oil can be replaced by ATF fluid!! Beware of that.
  4. If you have no proof of the previous owner, a stamped service manual or a detailed invoice, just replace the brake fluid.
  5. The only thing that can affect the engine behavior, after replacing the plastic cooling pipes, is a leaking intake manifold gasket, a leak in the thin plastic tubes into the V of the engine or a small leak somewhere between both MAF and the manifold. If the CEL is not lit, is it still advisable using a diagnostic device, such as PIWIS, to check the engine actual values.
  6. Great, a decade a go that was also the case, now whe can do it ourselves, what a progress we have made.
  7. It is required by law oil-containing materials such as filters, to separate the metal parts from the paper parts, this takes extra time (costs), therefore only paper elements are used.
  8. According the manufacturer, the cartridge type oil filter is inserted for environmental reasons. The bypass valve is used especially with cold engine, when the oil is thick and difficult to penetrate the paper filter, to prevent tearing off the paper by pressure. Let the valve where she is. It is therefore important to maintain the oil viscosity specified by the manufacturer. Also for the hex shaft of the oil pump, which can twist and break down at a later stage. Cold too thick oil requires too much force where the engine is not designed for.
  9. Why would you replace the battery if you have found the reason for the power drain already, the dash! It seems to my better to tackle this problem first.
  10. I would not waste my time in the Secondary Air Injection pumps, 2009 MA DFI engines do not use pumps, you will not find them.
  11. Probably one of the two injector fuses is blown, therefore one cylinderbank remains dry. These fuses usualy blown by a short, injector wiring or coils. Also the coils themselves can be shorted. The fuses are located in the fusebox left side in the engine compartment.
  12. You have not mentioned the number of miles the car has done, it is possible that the guiding sleeve where the trust bearing slides on, is worn. This component is often "forgot" to replace.
  13. There are different types of radial shaft seal, depending on the transmission number. Go to the dealer with the indification #, VIN, transmission, engine to be sure.
  14. A leaking oil seal of the shafts going into the torque converter is a known issue, this seal is available separately. The transmission must be removed for replacement.
  15. Usually referers to the control arms (2 on the front and 2 on the rear)while braking, however the noise does not improve after a while. It is important to define the complaint as specific as possible.
  16. Watch out what you're doing, this engine is a V6 DFI ! Be sure that you connect the low pressure fuel line with the pressure gauge. Special tools are needed for the high pressure fuel system.
  17. No they're not, but such problems can have various causes. You could see whether any of the turbo's is leaking oil, check the charge coolers for oil residus and at the same time the oil return pipe for cloging. There may with the engine itself, cylinders/piston rings for example, also be something wrong.
  18. In that case, try to put the lock mechanisme a little deeper, so there is more tension to the rear part of the lid.
  19. Turn both, left and right rubber buffers on the lid , one turn out and look what it gives.
  20. gbratk has it right, MY 04 use a cluster with build-in gateway, later MY have a gateway separately from the cluster. This is very important, otherwise it's lost money.
  21. Mechanics employed to an OPC get a copy after the end of the course on the subject in question, so it is not really meant for dealers and public. The intention is to use the copy as a reminder of how the systems works in general, and the differences with the previous product, in this case the 997 Turbo. So it works in Germany and in most European countries.
  22. Definitely not normal, looks like a problem with the PCV, have you the same result with the oil filler cap slightly lifted? If so i would suspect the AOS.
  23. Given no error codes are shown, the ABS itself will be fine. The tires can give a problem, have they the right size, are they too worn or have they become too harsh with age? As well as the brake pad/rotor combination condition. The ABS will not occur until, a preprogrammed, difference in wheel rotation has been established while braking.
