  1. The butterfly port would be a neat idea if your game enough to drill through the cap  Though did you notice how much dust come through the back by having the cap off, you might want to put a filter on it :)
  2. Yeh that was my bad lol http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?s...20&start=20 Glad you liked it, good for a thrill Nah its very loud, as mentioned you can hear everything including full induction :D Great for a half hr joy ride but 5hrs would send ya def :) I find you have to have the windows down when you do it, otherwise its overly loud.
  3. Prob both the same, just different packaging I used the supersyn to top up the cayenne a few months back, porsche recommended the "super synthetic"
  4. Depends on the Head unit you have, if the CDR 220 you'll find it has an AUX in Also if you need power, theres dozens of threads on tapping power from the phone system in here :)
  5. This wouldnt happen to be you would it? hahaha jk cheers :)
  6. You might want to check my thread out on collapsed drivers seat http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=12604 Feel around underneath it and see if you notice the foam coming out, the wire clips that hold it may have come loose.
  7. Yeh tried that one, head almost exploded at 6k rpm lol Wouldnt recommend it without the cap, a fair bit of dust is likely to blow through there But its something to do just for a kick, and to hear how loud Porsches were back in the 60's :D
  8. Howd you guys burn out your casings? I was thinking of putting some phillips crystal visions in (4300k), would they burn it?
  9. Simply open the top to service position Remove the parcel shelf Remove sound deadening from the engine cover End result If you like 911 sound authenticity and have a desire to go def then i'd highly recommend it :)
  10. No problems there, Techart are one of the most reputable and make the hottest 911/boxster rims ive seen. *ps dont get black! ;)
  11. I Recently De-snorkled my 01'S after reading a few threads on it, got to say it sounds even better doing over 4k rpm, and still sounds normal under 4k I dont know where you guys are getting your info from about the water getting in, check out the design and you will see they have a water guttering system in place, also the bottom half of the grill is closed in as to prevent excess water. But ultimately if you want engine noise, remove the sound deadening from the rear parcle shelf, drove around for a week like that and it feels like your in a RS :D
  12. Most people generally dont have any problems if the cars been maintained, your more than likely out of the danger period for rms leaks so you should be ok.. I know my boxsters well overdue for a service, but its not my daily driver so its not an issue atm.. But look after it and it'll last you a lifetime as they say.
  13. Ah ofcorse, prob the easiest way to sort the issue, also having the lights on causes a fair bit of battery drain over a 2hr period hmmmmmmmmm......remove the bulbs????? Nah the interior lightings already quite poor hmmmmmmmmm......remove the bulbs????? put a piece of black tape over them? don't look at them?  keep door closed?   seek professional help? :help: Lol they get quite hot, plus the excess battery drain is un necessary Or yeh, speak to a shrink and see what drugs they can prescribe to "turn the lights off" lol
  14. Does anyone know how to turn the door lights off manually in an 01' S? Sometimes I leave the doors open with the stereo going but the door lights get quite annoying, is there a hack or an easy way to create a switch to manually turn them off? Cheers
  15. I really didnt like what the did with the 03' ducts, kind of gave it a rice appeal The older models seem more pure, though the clear headlights are a nice touch.
  16. No Probs, I think ive sorted it out Pushed the wire back up behind the plastic and pushed the metal hook in the last pic back into the foam Feels ok now and seems to take a bit of bouncing around with out it poping back out, will see how it goes Thx fellas :)
  17. Finally tracked down an E12 torx socket, didnt realise they'd be so hard to find Got back, unbolted and removed the seat, only to find the problem isnt so easily visible Stew did you manage to find where the little wire clips hook onto? Attached are some pics Cheers
  18. Thanks Fellas, saved me a days worth of headache there I'll head out and grab that socket, the bolts are incredibly tight, dont want to round the bolt using a hex piece Will post pics when i get the seat out Cheers
  19. The drivers seat (rhd) in my 01' S seems to have collapsed, Theres very little lower support unlike in the passenger seat.. By feeling around underneath it I can noticed the foams come out little, i can pop it back up but it still falls down next time i sit in it (im no fat *** lol 76kg) What can i do to fix it?? Was thinking about removing the front seat but wasnt to sure if its advisable due to the tension of the bolts, is there an easy way to remove the seat? Not sure if you's can see it in the image Cheers :)
  20. Hi Nik, Nice job on the calipers, matches the car http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?a...ost&id=6949 I noticed you have the Kumo Ecsta Spt's on, what do you recon of them performance/handling wise?
