  1. This is turning into a guessing game. Have the intake system smoke tested for leaks.
  2. There isn't really a switch dedicated as reverse light switch but the circuit is controlled by a module.
  3. Are you getting a switched power for the relay on the control side which is terminal #86?
  4. Have the garage go over all connections and make sure nothing was left off and all electrical connections fully seated. Post the faults codes when you have them.
  5. I have seen fluid ( gear oil,coolant, etc) be drawn up a harness and in rare cases into the control module.
  6. Is there a VW part number on the old pump? It will start with 7L. Maybe one can be sourced via VW.
  7. That is really strange how a shorted cell could cause such an odd sequence of events, did you have to have any codes cleared?
  8. Sound like the primary (left) fuel pump is failing. As started, you'll need to test the fuel pressure of each pump independently.
  9. Control solenoid for the variocam. You can replace the seal by just removing the two bolts that retain the cover.
  10. Check fuse #11 OR 12 in the fuse block located near the brake master cylinder, it power those items.
  11. Why are you thinking TPS? They are very reliable. You really need to check for fault codes and vacuum leaks.
  12. Yes they are. I don't think you can purchase the ball joint separately as it's part of the control arm.
  13. Also keep in mind not all synthetics are created equal. You also have to consider ash content and many other factors. Just stick with a recommended oil and you'll be safe.
  14. Being a regulation sized fellow myself ( 6'3" and 365lbs ) I just unbolt the the front stage of the drivers seat and tilt it back for more room under the dash. Not sure if the passenger seat is hinged but it only takes 2 mins to remove the bolts and just slide it back.
  15. You can also turn on the DTRL with a scan tool on the Cayenne.
  16. bigbuzuki has it in one. I've never seen the units in NA ( like the retractable trailer hitch ) and think they are only a Europe thing. I think they had a timer you programmed or a remote for operation.
  17. Always disconnect the battery when unplugging/plugging in such modules and have the key removed from the ignition. The other module is the vehicle electrical module. The KESSY module isn't nice to remove if you're of a bigger size, I remove the lower wires going to the electrical module then the wiring to the KESSY module and slow tease it from it's home. Takes a bit of mucking about and is a tight fit but it should slip out.
