  1. ^Very nice! GT Silver Metallic? I like the simple "P O R S C H E" badging, too. I have the same, only in satin black from the 991 GT3's.
  2. What are the DOT code dates on those tires? If more than 5 years old, make 4 tire swings, and buy new shoes to get the kids safely to education and Mac N Cheese.
  3. If you like it, buy it. Don't worry about resale. Grey tops (I think the 2007 997 color was called Stone Grey) are no longer offered on the 991 series 911 cabriolets, if that's of any interest to you. Only black, blue, red and brown now. As for cleaning, care and maintenance, buy Ragg Topp cleaner & protectant. Do this process every other year. Works great. Their parent company, Wolfstein, is the OE supplier to Porsche.
  4. I have the Bose on my 2014 C2S PowerKit. It's just fine. The PSE sounds better!:) Several guys on Rennlist have replaced the Bose front tweeters with the Burmester tweeters. Not super expensive. And a DIY for a decent car guy with some minimal skills. They all report a significant improvement to the Bose sound.
  5. Depends. What wheel? Comfort setting or full load? Winter or summer? In the summer, on my 20" Sport Techno (245/35 and 305/30 tires) wheels, I run 36 front and 40 rear. In the very-very hot summer months, I back the rears down to 39. On the track, I keep everything below 40 hot.
  6. I've seen guys that have done this on Rennlist. Buy the parts from site sponsor Sunset Imports and save $$. Buy the front grill inserts too at the same time to balance the look.
  7. And you're sure your AC condensation line is clear? And your top drain holes are also clear and draining??
  8. I use the leaf blower at every washing. Once before everything is wet, and again after washing while drying off the car. Check out Rennline. But I think the bumper has to be removed for the install. http://www.rennline.com/Bumper-Parts/products/939/
  9. Anyone in Europe doing 4.0 (or larger) builds like Flat 6 Innovations (Jake Raby) is doing here? I'd go that route.
  10. Sounds like you were running our last DE event of the year at Blackhawk. Someone gave you a spare tire! That's awesome. Lots of great guys/gals in our Chicago Region PCA.
  11. Street tires don't really have "heat cycles" like R compound tires do. I'd be inclined to replace the one damaged tire. If needed, Tire Rack could shave the tire a 32 or two, to match the other current tire.
  12. This is correct and 100% normal. And this is what it sounds like your car is doing, other than the, "and won't turn off until I restart the car and turn off the indicator", part. You should be able to turn off this feature by turning off your indicator without having to restart the car.
  13. Make sure you have a spare DME relay. This is a weak spot in the 993s. Classic sign is, the car will crank, but not fire. Yours may be on the way out.
  14. Pack the key fob in a tightly sealed container of rice, or desiccant if you have some. Give it a few days to dry out.
  15. Water pump, coolant and thermostat for sure. Make sure you include your gear lube (75W90) as you said "all new fluids". When were plugs last done? If older than 4-5 years, those should be changed too. How old is battery? Maybe replace, or at the very least, top off with distilled water in each cell.
  16. All maintenance up to date? Serpt. belt? Waterpump? Throw out bearing?
  17. Azpps, you got very lucky (getting out of the deal). Next time do a Pre Purchase Inspection.
  18. I drove a customer ordered Boxster S from 2006 till 2013. Had about 60,000 miles on it when I sold it to my neighbor down the street. In 2009 I bought a 1997 993 Turbo with 32,000 miles. Drove it for 4 years and 40,000 miles and sold it in 2013 for 50% more than I paid for it!!! It now lives in Poland with it's very happy new owner. Took the proceeds of both sales, and bought the 430 HP 991S. Very happy. And very happy to have owned the 987 and 993 in the past.
  19. 20,000! Nice! This car was loaded up. Full leather. 18-Way seats. The works. I was all set to buy a 2013 C2S, but then saw this one. I custom ordered my car in September 2013. Took delivery in early March 2014. Car is stored mid-October till mid-March in my heated garage. I only get out on sunny weekends, but I do get my miles in! Did 1,500 miles this past June during my trip to Porsche Parade.
  20. Very nice! Enjoy. The 991 GTS is one hell of a bundled package. I love my 2014 C2S PowerKit Cabriolet. I'll turn 20,000 today going to Road America for the IMS and Tudor races.
  21. Yes have one on my 991S. Order from Sunset Porsche. Less $ than spec'ing the car in a custom build.
  22. Have someone gently press down, or pull up, on the engine lid while you activate the release button in the cabin. Or take it to the dealership, you're still under warranty.
  23. All 4 tires should match. I don't know anything about the Cinatros. Michelin Pilot Super Sports would be a great choice.
