What mass is the meter reading at idle and at 2000 RPM?

Sorry to jump in on this one but I was wondering what is an average airflow reading for a 986 S (2001 model) at idle & 2000RPM. I can't check mine at the moment as I am away from the vehicle & OBDII reader but as I'm new to all this I've been trying to decipher my car's data.

Thanks in advance.

Matt

What mass is the meter reading at idle and at 2000 RPM?

I am out of town till Friday. I will hook up the Durametric and see what the readings are at Idle and 2000 rpm..

At idle, oil temp 97.25c

760 rpm, 1.35 to 1.37 air mass 15 to 15.25

At 2000 rpm

2000 rpm 1.64 and air mass 32.25

Any help appreciated..

  • 2 years later...

Would anyone be able to tell me the exact diameter of a mass airflow housing for a 2000 986 S 3.2L? I also need an appropriate bosh or after market maf housing (with flow straightening mesh) of the same internal diameter (must accept the probe from the 986). Certain BMW ones are good candidates...

Otheriwise I will have to get a custom tune for a larger 987 MAF housing.....assume its larger
