Am I the only one who does not have the sticker under the hood? I do have it in my book. My last 2 911's had the sticker under the hood, and not in the booklet. Anybody have any idea's?

Something is going on. I have looked at about 20 997s and 987s. One 997 had it and three 987s had it stuck under the front trunk lid. Nothing on the others.

On the 996/986 is was supposed to be in the book and under the trunk lid.

I have asked 2 salesmen at my dealer and they did not know. I keep forgetting to ask the mechanics. They like them because they use to write the wheel lock key code on it.

This is it on a 997.

The 997 ships from the port with only 1 sticker. This goes in the service book. If you need/want one for under the hood, get your dealer to order one from PCNA for you.

Mine actually shipped with a Canadian book set. The dealer ordered a new book set and 2 stickers, one for the service book and one to do with as I please.

I don't understand why you would need two of them. I have one in the maintenance manual and it is enough. no?

No, one is enough, it's just that I thought it was odd. All of my others Porsches had stickers under the hood, and I read different stories about this, and just would like an explaination. I guess there is no standard on the 997.

I picked up my 997S in Zuffenhausen and the factory rep pulled the sticker off a build sheet and placed it in my maintenance manual. There wasn't a second sticker on his sheet to place anywhere else. My other Porsches had them under the hood too.
