Radio is out of the car, number came off the deck. Guess next step is call Porsche and see if they can recover the code or reset with a new code? Thanks D They can not reset it and they will likely charge you find the serial number and code. Why not put it back in the car (briefly) to get teh displayed serial number - then I can get the code for you.

  15. That is how Porsche labels them on the wiring diagram. In Porsche terminology the following is true on all Porsche cars: Terminal 31 = ground Terminal 30 = unswitched power Terminal 15 = switched power
  16. Ignition coils are easy to test (how they look is not really relevant). Resistance between terminal 1 and terminal 15 at 20° C should be 0.3 - 0.7 Ohms.
  17. Yes, the CDR-23 radios are programmed and recognized by the car’s DME and can only be replaced by a shop with a PST2 or PIWIS.
  18. Sorry, that is not a valid serial number (of the radio). Please use the Lost Radio Code FAQ to get the procedure to get the correct serial number - then re-post here.
  19. Looks like someone did not read the Lost Radio Code FAQ "CDR-23 (or later): These radios do not have a security code - that is, not that the user enters. These radios are security tested on the MOST (fiber optic bus) system to see if they are the "programmed" radio. The radios are programmed and recognized by the car’s DME and can only be replaced by a shop with a PST2 or PIWIS. These radios will not request a code when battery power is disconnected."

  24. If your O2 sensors were causing the problem is would show up as a fault or as poor O2 sensor waveforms. Best to put a Porsche PIWIS tester on the car and monitor it.
